Friends are wanting to take a bike trip from Northwestern Oklahoma to about Mammoth Cave park in Kentucky in Late October this year. Sounds like a good time to us, should be nice colors in the trees and one last chance for a trip before the cold weather really sets in. We don't get that direction much and wondered if anyone had any advice to what the Kentucky weather typically is around the last of October. Also wondered if Local folks in that area had advice on things we should see / experience while in the area. Thanks much, Creole

Anyone know of a place to store my Bike in Yuma Az.? Am planning to ride it down or ship it late in October from Halifax, to fly down and ride around there again this year.

Hi folks, haven't been on like I would like, dont have good internet where the boat is docked. Anyway, looking at heading south from Masachusetts at the end of October, and was thinking of going by Gettysburg, have always wanted to go and it is on the way, figure I would getr there on a Friday evening, visit the park on Saturday, and then continue on my trip south to Florida on Sunday. Anybody close by that would like to get togather, would be fun to meet up with some folks, and see the the park, always more fun to do something like this with friends. This is just pre-planning, it is hard for me to plan ahead, leaving Mass with the boat on the 10th of October, and a lot depends on how the trip south goes, and then I have to get the bosses suburban south with a loaded u-haul, and then............I fly back up north and get my bike. Anybody interested let me know, and we can start planning a get-togather.

My first wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to WallyWorld. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate she, like most women, loves to browse. Near the end of this first marriage, my dear wife received the following letter from the local WallyWorld . . . Dear Mrs. Jones, Over the past six months, Gary has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: 1.. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. 2.. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. 3.. July 7: He made a trail from a jar of brown gravy on the floor leading to the both the lady’s and men’s restrooms. 4.. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away’. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. 5.. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. 6.. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. 7.. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. 8.. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. 9... September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. 10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme. 12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels. 13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' 14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loudspeaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' And last, but not least: 15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

I would like to see if any of the folks here from the Knoxville TN area are planning to ride in the Toy Run from Smokies Park this Sunday, October 25th. It would be nice to have a chance to meet before or even after the ride at SMH-D....

I have been trying to get in touch with Paul, (TupperJ) about a set of his nifty battery cables and have not had any luck. When I checked his profile it looks as if he hasn't posted to this site since October of last year. Has anyone heard from him? Is he OK? My concern is not so much the cables but his well being. Is Paul the only person currently making up the cable sets? So many questions, Earl

Good morning everyone! The Marine Corps League Det: 1011, Cherokee Co, NC is bringing the Moving Viet Nam Memorial to Murphy NC. The Wall will be coming in October, however help is needed now in the form of cash donations for the deposit by 7 March. Help will also be needed in October to escort the wall, set up and take down the wall and particpate in ceromonies during the time the Wall is set up. Little River Casino Ride. Everyone is welcome, come if you can, join the fun. October 10th, (Friday) 11th, Saturday and check out October 12th (Sunday) 2008. Friday night at the Casino and a full day of riding Saturday. If the weather turns bad-bad we will most likely cancel. For now we have our reservation at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Manistee MI. (see below) Just down the road from Little River Casino. (AARP rate $62.10) there are only a few rooms available. Diane and I will leave Friday morning October 10th after coffee from McDonalds at Northline and I-75 Were planning on being there at 8:00am and on the road around 10:00am. Hey Everyone! As our riding season will soon begin to experience a chilly slow-down here in Utah, a few of us (couples mostly) are trying to plan one more overnight ride before the snow begins to fly in these parts. Last year around mid-October, we road up to Yellowstone Natl. Park. While that was a fun time, it got pretty cold and wet. Afterall, that's what happens in the Rocky Mountain's in October. We probably want to go sometime around the end of this October. This year, we thought that we would take a day or two and ride South down to Las Vegas and catch a performance of the Blue Man Group. I have already seen them on TV and on-line, and have heard that their live shows are awesome. So, that should fun. This is what we're looking for - the best deals there in Vegas that I can find. Either a package deal with a room at the Venitian along with the show, or perhaps an inexpensive hotel and some discounted show tickets from someplace. The hotel doesn't need to be anything more than a place to sleep. But, we do want someplace which is clean, comfortable and which is an unquestionably safe to park our bikes (and our bodies) at night. Can anyone offer us some suggestions? Thanks for the help! Just got back from a jaunt to Lockport via the long way and back with a stop for dinner. Unbelievable, it's after dark and still in the high 60's! This is more like August than October...
