Last September 6th I traded my 2009 Silverado Z71 in on a 2011 Silverado Z71 and financed a portion of the purchase price. I paid $17 doc fees and $25 Title fees. I never asked questions about it , didn't have cause to. In the middle of November I paid off the mortgage on the truck and waited for the title to arrive. The last week of November I got an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet of paper saying that I could take it to my local title department and get a title. I did and it cost $16 for what I thought I had already paid for. After a call to the dealership and talking to the business whatever she was called I found that when you finance a vehicle that there is never a title issued. Everything is "electronic" and I guess it save's the .32 cents to mail a title to you and evidently nobody ever has a clear title to their vehicle. I'm still trying to figure how I can make life miserable enough for the dealer so that they will refund my $16 that I thought I had already paid for a paper title. I'm relatively sure I won't win but it'll be fun jabbing them as often as I feel like it.

We're planning a visit to Wheels Through Time on 11/15/08. This might be your last chance to see this wonderful museum, as they are indicating they will close the Maggie Valley location at the end of this month. This road trip will be made in conjunction with the November North GA M&E. Please click the link below for more info: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=269216#post269216 Terry

I have a 2005 RSTD and I bought an intercom for it last November. I bought it so Karen & I could talk on longer trips. So far We've only taken 2 long trips. Once to Daytona in November, and we just got back from Ohio. So far we've had to send the intercom unit in for replacement, and on this week's trip we were close enough to just stop at Sierra Electronics where we bought the intercom, and had both headsets replaced because the speakers went out. The people at Sierra are nice enough, but it's a real inconvenience to have it not work when you need it. Did I just get a lemon, or is this brand just junk?

Beautiful day in the Ohio Valley off to meet some friends to get in one more ride.

Today was a great day. The temp got up above 70 degrees, so I decided to clean a couple bikes. Then I took one out for a ride to play. Can you guess which one is the play-toy? I even got Yammer out to ride with me. Although today it was me slowing down so he could keep up... It just doesn'tet any better in November.....

Got a call from Neurosurgeon and back surgery scheduled for November 2nd. So getting bike put up and everything else in order best I can to be ready. Will be in hospital 5-10 days and then months of wearing a huge fiberglass brace. Brace makes you feel like a fool it's so big you have to wear it over your clothes with only sweat pants and tee shirt under it. Will have to quit eating to pay all the co-pays. Seems anyone that sticks their head in the door and asks "how you doing" sends you a bill. Enough of this wish me luck.

I'm Taking Brad's advice and starting a new thread on this. I have purchased a camp trailer from 1-UP in Flordia. Now the problem of getting it to it's new home in central Oklahoma. Ken has kindly offered to bring the trailer as far as Nashville, but I am heading out to the West Coast on the job on Monday and won't be back until the middle of November. Can't get out of it. I was hoping to find a Nashville member who would be willing to meet with Ken and take posession of the trailer until I can get out there at the end of November and pick it up. Ken's schedule isn't set yet, so I can't tell you when he will arrive. But we can work it out. Setting up a relay from Nashville to Oklahoma would be more fun, but I won't be around to coordinate. Sorry. Thanks Dale.

I had responded to the "rib tickler" ride that I was going to be there. Sadly, due to an issue at work, I will not be able to attend. :bawling:Thats what I get for working for the Government. Anywho, I would like an update about how the ride was and when y'all decide to meet next and if it is not too forward of me (being fairly new to this website) I would like to try to plan a meet and eat for November or later if weather and scheduels don't permit. I am truly sorry that I won't be there but I am sure you will all have a rib for me. See y'all next time. Brent
