i have a noise coming from the back end maybe from the final drive sounds like im dragging something metal on the ground at first i thought it was my mud flap dragging from riding 2 up but that is to high off the ground it does not make the noise when leaning right for right curbs only does this when leaning left or hitting bumps in the road on the center stand in neutral spinning the wheel there is one spot i feel where the wheel rubs something on my 84 any ideas what it could be before i start tearing things apart to repair i would like to make sure i have all the parts i need so i can do this in one day early morning tear apart late morning early after noon fix late after noon put together and ride im using my 84 as a daily rider until the 99 RSTD is running.

The NY crew will be setting up at pioneer on saturday july 21st at noon...and I believe steamer will be camping there that night....The registration table will be manned on sunday starting at around noon so that you can pick up your registration packets and set up your camp if you are staying there........PLEASE CHECK IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE MIXER AT CHANDERSONS THAT EVENING.....I NEED THE EXACT COUNT AS THE CLUB WILL BE CHARGED PER PERSON AT THIS EVENT...If you will not be attending the mixer, please remove your name from the calendar... have a safe ride here .... ps...RocknRobin will be camping there too !!!! she 's so touchy lately......

The 11th annual Bikin' for Burns is Saturday May 14th. Registration is from 10:00am till noon. Leave at noon for a 45 mile police escort ride to Firemen park where food, vendors. beer tent and rock bands will be set up. If you watch from side of the road it takes 45 minutes for the bikes to go by. I get to staging at 9:30 so I can ride up front. If anyone from the area or not in the area want to join me we can meet for breakfast then go resister. Jamie and I will be departing Newnan tonite to deliver the trailer Jamie sold to Rock Hound, we will be meeting up with him at Squidley's in Conroe, Tx. I will also be picking up the engine and frame that Squidley picked up for me up near Ft. Worth. We will be there around noon, so maybe if its 0k with Squidley we could maybe have a little meet and eat in the evening someplace near Brad's place. I sure we can find a good BBQ or TexMex to eat at...........

Wife and I are only a few hours from Milwaukee. Left the North country early and went thru the land of 10000 lakes before noon. We are enjoying riding thru Americas Dairyland. Hot for us canucks!

Leslie & I were at Home Depot at about noon today and got a call from our daughter that the house had been broken into, they got computers, electronics, jewelry and other misc. goods. You might say that I am not happy. Everybody is OK but its not a good feeling. The police showed up about 15 mins after we got home, took a little info and said a detective will get with us next week. SOOO I may not be online till I get another puter. The house was empty for only about 45 mins, is somebody watching ? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

me and one of my best machinist buddies are going to greenwood arkansas tomorrow morning for the arkansas state cushman meet at the fairgrounds in greenwood. we should be there about noon if anyone in the area wants to come over and visit. we are going to show off the 4 speed 1958 eagle that i custom built for him. so if you want to ride a very fast cushman come on over. it's the prototype for the transmission and primary drive that we designed and built. he already has a waiting list for them. there will be lots of custom and restored cushmans there to see and a great bunch of people. i think we will have the cushman here at my st. charles meet along with my very good buddy. we will be there till noon saturday and then head home. i'm starting to feel like la pryor, never at home anymore. a dream come true. just a little rougher at my age. hope to see a venturerider there. i will have the red goldwing ball cap on. bill

Well, things have been crazy around here. Work is swamped. Xmas shopping till I drop. Weddings on the weekends...tons of night meetings.....and the fun is just begining. Deer Hunting starts this weekend, so all our son's will be home at noon today. Tonights request...Pioneer stew...and chicken tortilla soup tomorrow night. Beer, wine and gallons of milk. Home made buns. Cinnammon rolls every day for breakfast. By noon today...our house will be strewn with ammo, guns, cammo, everyones hunting license will be misplaced so the 5:00 a.m. panic will set in. Any girlfriends that show up will be helping me finish up xmas shopping till the guys come home for the night to talk smart, brag, tease each other......By Sunday night, we will all be exhausted from late nights and really early mornings. Let the holidays begin!!!! I love it!!! Nothing beats having all your men home together for a few days. Healthy, happy, full of mom's cooking. Life doesn't get any better than that does it?

If anyone from the N. Ga. area or S.C. area is going to Memphis for the St. Jude/Mean Dog Memorial Ride, and want to join me for the trip I will be at the Mc Donalds just of exit 41 of I-20 at 4:30 am. I will wait till 5:00 am to depart and make my way towards Memphis where we will meet up with other Ventureriders at the Flying J in W. Memphis, Ark at 12:00 noon for lunch. We will then be meeting with a representive of St. Jude Chidrens Hospital to present the donations that were received by Squidley. If you would like to call me both my phone numbers are listed in the VR assistance list. It would be great to have a group of riders from this area make the ride.

the 2009 rally committee is having a get together at the pro bass in springfield, mo., next saturday, aug 16, at noon. any one that wants to sit in with us is welcome to join us. you may just get some inside secret info on the 2009 rally. actually it's mainly just going to be a casual get together. if you come be in the pro bass parking lot by noon. bill

On Sunday, Oct 21st, Lone Eagle and myself (Condor) are taking a ride to Woodland Ca. for BBQ RIBS at Ludy's, then on to Reiff's Gas Station to take a look at an awesome antique collection of 1930's, 40's and 50's Gas Station memoribilia. If we have the time we'll also take in the AG History Center. Anyone in the San Francisco/Sacramento/Nor-Cal area that would like to join us is more than welcome. We'll meet for lunch at noon.
