Hello Everyone: Weather here in W. Nebraska was very nice today. Sunny and warm, temps in the 40's. I got called out on a service call this afternoon. I mentioned to my customer that it was almost nice enough to ride my bike. That started the conversation, I soon learned my customer and his wife just enjoyed their first season on a Yamaha VStar 1100. I mentioned this wonderful site to them. They wrote the website address down and hopefully we will see another member on here soon. I love my job and the fact that I meet new people everyday.

Hello Everyone: Several months ago I offered overnight lodging for anyone stopping in Western Nebraska on their way out to the Cody rally. "Tom" and Debby indicated they might take me up on my offer for Friday night July 22nd. I swear someone else replied to me about Saturday July 23rd, but damn if I can remember who it was? (Getting old I guess?) I looked through all of my past PM messages and cannot find anything. If someone reads this post and has made plans to stop in Scottsbluff, Ne on the way to Cody please contact me and jog my memory. Thanks in advance.

Hello Everyone: Anyone traveling from the East to the West that might consider traveling through Nebraska on the way to or from Cody. If interstate travel is not your bag? I would reccommend Scenic Hwy 20 in the northern part of the state or Hwy 30 on the south end such as at North Platte then Hwy 92 (Ash Hollow) Oregon Trail route at Ogallala. Hwy 92 will bring you past historic Chimney Rock near Bayard Ne. If you would consider overnighting here in Scottsbluff on the 22nd or possibly the 23rd or again on the 29, 30 or 31st, I might be able to help with free lodging. Otherwise the Candlelight Inn owner indicated he would set you up with a nice room for $59 per night. Tell Keery "Phoneman" recommened them. Their number is 308-635-3751. Unsure if just yet if I can go, but I sure want to meet others if they pass through this way. FYI, 400 miles or 6.5 hours from Scottsbluff to Cody.

The near impossible happened Christmas day to many of us in the SE, and that meant a lot of snow (last snow on Christmas locally was 1947). I have no problem with it since I am originally from Nebraska, but the locals want to drive just as fast as in the summer heat. We have had lots of wrecks and injuries. I for one just stayed home Sunday.

Hello Everyone: I have made so many on line friends from this site in a very short time. If you ever find your way passing through Western Nebraska perhaps on the way to other destinations such as Colorado mountains, Yellowstone in Wyoming or the Black Hills of SD. Besure to let us know you are coming. I would love to meet some of my fellow owners and riders. We are planning our annual trip to the Black Hills of SD the week before Sturgis. I know the area fairly well. Take care....

Does any one know if there are any other Nebraska members besides me? I recently acquired my venture a few weeks ago. The wife and I are looking forward to riding with other people. This is our first bike. We have friends that ride but unlike us they have kids and they have more important issues to deal with. I would like her to see that it can be alot of fun. Alan and Kim

Hi all I am leaving Minnesota on the 20th of July to visit my daughter in Colorado. I plan to take my time and meander my way to Colorado (3-4 days out). What is there to see and do in Northern Iowa and through Nebraska? I also plan on working my way back through Eastern Wyoming and Eastern Montana and finally go through Sturgis ( a week early) on my way back home. Suggestions are appreciated and Thanks in advance. Any people to meet along the way????? Steve
