Riding up to Myrtle Beach this morning (I hate riding in Myrtle Beach) and saw a couple on a silver and purple 99 right where Bus 17 and 17 Split at 11:00 am I don't think they saw me but I waved.

Any member live near Myrtle Point, Oregon. The reason I ask, is that I'm looking at some Lapidary equipment on ebay. The Seller is from Myrtle Point, OR. Shipping is $200.00 for this item. I would like to save on the shipping or rather spend the $200 in an enjoyable trip. What I would like to do is if I win the bid, is to locate a member that lives really close by and could pick it up for me. Then I could make some arrangements in the summer of 2012 to pick it up. What I could to do is take the lid off my M/C trailer and pull it with my 91 VR and take a weekend trip down the Oregon Coast on hwy 101. I'm from Buckley Wa. about 400 miles away. While I'm down there I would like to visit Bandon Oregon. About 41 years ago I attended the Millard Prep School there. At that time Millard Prep's mission were to assist young men to increase their College SAT scores to qualify for West Point-Army / Annapolis-Navy / Air Force Academy. Today I think it has been purchased by a church and has turned it into a church camp. Kinda like to contact them and take a walk in memory lane. Then I'd like to just visit the famous golf course called the Bandon Dunes. If any member is willing, please PM me soon for there is about 6 days left on the bidding.

Got to see midget wrestling, walking on the beach, having cool refreshments in the evening, breakfast at Tarbaby's and dinner at Dick's Last Resort! Yesterday evening at Myrtle Beach, Sleeperhawk got an early Father's Day present that he has been wanting for a long, long time! A Mustang seat! After riding home from Myrtle Beach today, we both decided we really liked it!!!

Okay, I have a 96 Fleetwood Terry RV travel trailer model 29S and I need a roof repair. Getting water in it, I have sealed every spot, still leaks. Probably looking at a entire roof replacement, anyone here know how to do that? Anyone here do it for a living or can do it as a side job and any idea what it would cost? Trailer is stored at Pirateland at Myrtle Beach. Trailer is about 31' long no slides. Ideal plan would be to come down and get the trailer to a site for a day or two and let the repairs take place. George and I, along with a couple of guys George works with (they ride Harleys) went to Myrtle Beach this weekend. What a fun weekend! :happy65: We left out Friday evening after work and had a beautiful ride down there! After hotel hopping for a good deal on rooms, we ended up staying at the Sandy Beach Resort with a suite of three bedrooms, two baths, jazucci, full kitchen, living room and even a washer/dryer. And, an oceanfront view! Wow!!! It is definitely on our list of a place to stay next time we are down there! It was such a treat to wake up to the sound of ocean waves and a beautiful sunrise over the water. After a hunt on the beach for sea shells, it was time to go. George was ready to ride! Saturday morning was late breakfast at Tar Baby's which has a large variety of buffet items. It was a beautiful 30 minute ride from the hotel there. Next was checking out the various vendors. First stop was at the Myrtle Beach Mall (where Bass Pro Shop is). There were not a lot of vendors there. Next we hit Barefoot Landing and had a stroll through the Alligator Farm but no alligators were in sight, just ducks and turtles! Then for a nice ride down Kings Highway to the Harley Store where again, vendors were few. The last stop was at Suck Bang Blow where a band was playing, burn outs (phew!), Wall of Death, and a contest for the loudest pipes! And Chuck and Keith had a chance to drool! After a refreshing stop at the hotel for a swim and a shower, we headed back on the strip for supper, eating at Captain Benjamin's. What a wide variety of food! We left for home this morning, feeling refreshed and having had a great weekend. We got home just in time before the rain! There were quite a few bikers there, more than we anticipated being there, but it was the end of bike week so I am sure a lot had already left to go home. We are ready to go back!!!

I will be in North Myrtle Beach S.C. the week of Mar. 14-21. My brother and I are trying to arrange rental of 2 bikes for a day. Unfortunately the condo we've rented won't allow bikes in the parking lot. If we go ahead with these plans we would be looking for a driveaway to park 2 bikes for 1 night near to the condo we're renting (2001 S.Ocean Blvd N. Myrtle Beach S.C. 29582). Thanks in advance for any help u can offer. I have already tryed a few self storage units but they aren't too accommodating for 1 night at a reasonable cost. The condo company isn't too helpful either to accomodate us.

Here is a slide show of our trip to Myrtle Beach during Bike Week 2008. I know it's late, but for some reason I procrastinate. There are two Ventures in here, one with a different back rest, passenger seat, and passenger arm rests. If anybody has any info it would be cool to find out where they came from. It was great seeing SleeperHawk and Mechanic there. We had a great day together. You have got to see the....... Well in less than an hour the better half and I are going to throw a leg over our trusted steeds and mosey on down to Myrtle Beach. I will be pulling the Chuck Wagon and she will be riding drag (no comments Beer30) We are planning on taking a leasure ride down although it will be a challenge for Brandy since the winds here in NC are predicted to be 20 to 25 with gusts up to 40mph. I will have my cell with me for those who are going to be in Myrtle Beach and want to try and get together. My number is in the Members list, just leave a message and I will get back to you. Good Lord willing we will be down there until Sunday and then head back.
