My Dad likes making the Dr wrong. Here is a brief history. Two years ago he was diagnosed with multiple myaloma. He said I don't feel sick. One year ago the myaloma stopped his kidneys so dialysis was started. Last Wed he stopped breathing during the dialysis and his heart stopped. They shocked him back and rushed him to the ER. The Dr gave little hope of any recovery and if he did get better most likely brain damage. Well he stabilized in one day and they said he could not breath on his own, next day he was off the ventilator. The next day they brought him back from the induced coma and said don't expect him to be cognizant, he communicated by shaking his head and blinking (still had tube down his throat). Moved him to a bigger hospital yesterday and pulled the tubes and he ate dinner and is doing great. He likes making the Dr be wrong. There is no cure for his illness but we still have him for now.
