So Muffinman is home, picked him up at the airport 12:30am sunday. But before he got here he had one of his layovers in London. So the pic attached was sent to me by our member greg in london when they met up. Greg took him for a ride around the west side of London as I understand it. Muffin road pillion. They had lunch and chatted (I know any of our members sitting around BS'ing what a shock). Thanks Greg for meeting him I know he enjoyed getting to meet you. So he's home and getting ready for MD. See you all on Friday unless you don't get there till Saturday. I'll let muffinman tell you all his interesting tales himself. Like when they woke him up on the plane in London before it left and made him get off. Margaret

Not only is Dave fixing an '84 and painting it for Quickstep, he has now generously offered to lend us a CB for our trip. Condor is letting us use a GPS, and is mailing it to Dave's house. Muffinman is lending us a trailer, and it is working it's way across to Portland Amazing...bloody amazing!!!!!!

I knew you would look with that title. Muffinman left here on tuesday and he won't be home till tomorrow. He headed up to fix Riderdukes work van. He wouldn't let me go 'cause muffin said I spent enough time with the stud. So I'm here all by myself with the critter's and muffin is with riderduke. Margaret

But, he wasnt calling to talk to me, he saw the post about Charlene's upcoming surgery and called her to give her some encouraging words and wish her well, he sounded good, it was nice of him to call, it was a pleasant surprise for both of us and Charlene was touched by his call. Thanks Muffinman!!!

Had a surprise visit from Muffinman yesterday afternoon, he stopped by on his way to Ft. Benning along with Blackjack, Wingman, and His wife. We comensurated for a while and then had a grand meal of Jambalaya, green beans, French bread garlic toast and chocalate cream pie for desert. As most of you know, Jeff is heading for Iraq to work for Uncle Obama for a year so it just made sense that since we are on the way, he stopped here for an overnite visit. Really gonna miss seeing the guy for a year and not seeing him post as often as he does, but I am sure Mini will keep us posted on his goings on. Those guys and gals over there are in for a real treat and one heck of a mechanic, cause if he is as good with planes and helicopters as he is with 1st Gens, they got the best mechanic around. I am sure everyone appreciates his sacrifice helping out like this, Thanks Jeff, your one of a kind. I know Mini is going to have a tuff time without Jeff around, so Mini if you need to talk to someone or lean on, you gots lotsa :bighug:family here so dont be shy, we are here for you. It was a nice little meet and eat and the last one we will have with the Muffinman for some time...........but when he comes home, we will have a grand one, I am sure..............

I had posted this under the Meet & eat thread but only Ceedo read it. So here it is a gain. We had a great time at the 1st PA Meet & Eat and what a fantastic turn out. It was really good to meet everyone. A special thanks goes out on behalf of my wife and myself to the the VA/NC and SC guys. I got a front flat at 65 mph a little past the exit for route 15 south at Frederick MD, and man that was scarey! The Muffinman had a portable pump with him and they got the tire pumped up enough so I could hobble to the Sheetz in Leesburg Va. Got a can of tire fixit and pumped it back the rest of the way. Seems I had a slow valvestem leak and the tire just blew. They all made sure we made it home safely. THANKS AGAIN guys for all your help! The Muffinman said the nicest thing out on the side of the road, "We never leave anyone behind" What a great bunch of folks. Kim & Karen Woodworth

I finally got the pics on the computer. We're waiting for Dunlop to tell us what they think happened to the tire. Our dealer hadn't seen a tire go this way before. Any further questions should be asked of Muffinman. Margaret

Can't let him out by himself he ends up buying stuff. He got a good deal on this so I let him have it. Now he wants me to get my license so he can nap while we travel. I can't see him sleeping while I ride, he can't do it in a car. Margaret

After 15 hours in the saddle, we are home at 9:40 pm Sunday A little over 1700 mile round trip. It was a great weekend, seeing old friends and making new ones. The bike presentation was great and I even got to ride the bike for over 100 miles. Muffinman was on my 08. Want to thank BEER30 for letting the Mechanic ride with him in his pickup for most of the heat of the day. You all Ride Safe.
