After reading all the reviews on the Morgan carbtune, I went ahead and ordered one. It seems that Morgan replaced the carbtune II with the carbtune pro, which supposedly is better. Since all the info. on this site re carb synching is based on using the carbtune II, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a difference between these two models. Thanks.

Anybody out there have a Morgan Carbtune for loan or sale?

Everyone seems to like the Morgan Carbtune here. Can someone explain why this is so good vs. other mercury / vacuum / carb synch tools? I need to do synchs, want to get something, but don't want to wait for the Morgan unless it's signifigantly better than other products I can get faster. Thanks

Lookee what came in the mail today. Sean Morgan of Morgan Carbtune, and I do believe he is the CEO/owner, has graciously donated another Carbtune for this years Tail of the Dragon V. Sean has been a very generous sponsor with his donations to VR. I do believe this is the 3rd or 4th one he has donated for Vogel. Many thanks to Sean Morgan for his generosity.

Some of our previous sponsors that have been providing their product have stepped up again this year. So far the best door prize will be from Morgan Carb-Tune. I just received an email from Sean Morgan saying they will be supplying us with one of their products again. Protectall will also be providing some of their great product, still awaiting replies from others........... If anyone has something they would like to donate or know of someone who would donate it would be greatly appreciated........ I will be posting a poll before the weekend about what the members would like to see for door prizes.......

I haven't discussed this much, but if someone wants to have their carbs synced at Vogel I have a Morgan CarbTune Pro that is going to be one of the items being raffled off, and being as Sat. is going to be a free day to do as you please (no scheduled rides) it will be available to be used by anyone who wants to do thiers before the drawings, now I do not know how to use it myself, but if someone wants to volunteer to do this on Sat. I will have it at shelter # 3. I will also have a signup list at the registration table for this. I am not certian what time I will be at the shelter but it will be early so there will be plenty of time to get it done before the party starts at 4:00 PM. http://www.carbtune.co.uk/Images/SSL11426thinc.jpg Carbtune Pro Upgraded from the Carbtune II in 2007. The Carbtune Pro has all the advantages of the old Carbtune using the same principles but in a fully injection moulded casing and tubes that make the overall design more consistent.

It looks like door prizes for Vogel may not be as plentiful this year as they were at the last event in 2007. I have sent out letters of request to all the same vendors as last time and a few new ones but response has been slow to put it mildly......Some members here have donated some items and that is much appreciated. I finally got one item in today and its probably going to be the best door prize to give away. It is from Sean Morgan at Morgan Carbtune..........he was gracious enuff to donate a Carbtune Pro to our cause. So thanks to Sean and Morgan Carbtune for their generous contribution.........Some lucky person will go home with a nice reminder from Vogel. If anyone can bring some t-shirts from their local dealers those would make great door prizes or t shirt swap like Muffinman did at the last event. Just drop me a line if you have something or know of someone who might be willing do donate to a very good cause, remember, after expenses, all profits go to St. Jude Children's Hospital. I'm considering a purchase this week of a carbtune pro from morgan directly. is this a good decision or is it better to go through a local distributor? If local any suggestions? Thanks, Big Mike

Hello everybody. Well I followed your advice about the vibration problem in the passenger seat. I bought the Morgan Carbtune Pro and I used it today. As you can see in the photos below, my #1&2 carbs were way off from each other as well as from #3&4 which were almost even. I also discovered the two vaccum caps were cracked and replaced them. Goose, I did what you said about working with them at about 1k and up around highway rpms. This carbtune works like a gem. It was well worth the $95 U.S. that it cost me. And that included Air shipment from Ireland which took only 9 days from the day I placed the order. The bike runs and feels totally different now. It starts easier, idles smoother, which had to be lowered considerably from where it had been, and now my RK pipes sound a lot smoother on deceleration than they did before. Hopefully I will also see some mileage improvement like others have after synchronizing their carbs. This bike had 24k on it when I bought it last August and I doubt it had ever even been checked. It has 28k on it now and I hadn't even thought about it until you good folks on this site put me onto it. I'll be checking it every oil change from now on as it will only take about 20 minutes to do it now that I'm familiar with the location of everything involved. Thanks again for all your help.

Ok, I'm sold on the idea and convinced that I'm going to buy my own synchronizer. So which one gets the most votes? Morgan or Motion Pro. That's the only four carb units I've found.

I have been trying to think of something new to do at Vogel next year, and one idea I have come up with is a Poker Run. The winning hand will win a Morgan CarbTune Pro, kindly donated by Morgan CarbTune, one of our preferred Vendors here at VentureRider. Thanks to Sean Morgan at Morgan CarbTune. There has been some discussion as to the accuracy of the Morgan Carbtune. Well, I have to say that those accusations are founded. As you can see, I tee'd all four lines to a hand vacuum pump. And this is what I got. Should have been perfect. Doing it "on the bench", I could hear the rods dragging, which of course you can't hear with the engine running. This Carbtune has only been used a few times. Now, I will see if cleaning it makes any difference. But I think a calibration check is in order before any synchronizing.
