OK folks. The flags were here when I got home yesterday. Today I will get them in envelopes and addressed and then sent out first thing Monday morning. I think they turned out pretty well. Appear to be good quality that should hold up for a long time.

Yesterday was Alan's B-DAY and like every other year he is on the road. The Canadians have him more than I do. What's up with that eh'. HOWEVER, he is on his way back and on Monday I'll give him his present. Nice dinner, cake, Candlelight .

Hi All Just need to tell you of my wk. My volly fire gig had jr fire acadamy this week 20 9to 15 year old kids learning about fire and Ems plus I was on nights at the fire station at the airport. Monday had a bad MVA did not turn out well and turns out I knew her and her kids. (sucks) rt 38 vet ride sat then a day at the lake and monday off to to rally. Sorry to rant and rave but Ive been busyer that a puppy that just found his pecker. See ya at the rally Bull463

Appears if computer infected, you will lose access to internet on Monday when FBI shuts down these affected servers. Includes link to test your computer. Wondering if this might be cause of wierd operation some are seeing on VRO?

Coming down to the final days here in Michigan, Have most everything packed up and the big truck is coming Saturday. Will load sat and sun and be on the road monday. And be moving into new place in Hillsboro NC on wed. Getting excited!

On Monday I had an ultrasound biopsy on my prostate. It went well and by Monday evening I was feeling fantastic. On Tuesday I woke up feeling great and went to the office. Tuesday afternoon I worked in the garage for a bit but when I came into the house I had the chills. They got worse and I was shaking so hard I could hardly hold my phone to call my wife. Now I sit in the hospital as they pump antibiotics into me. My temp spiked at 103.8 for two hours! I shook for 4 hours. I may be luckily and get out tomorrow, maybe Friday. Appreciate prayers. What a week!

I am going camping with my motorhome this weekend in upper Fla at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park 3076 95th Drive Live Oak, Florida 32060 I will be there Sat -Monday if anyone wants to take a ride and visit I will have the bbq grill ready. Tom

sposed to go in on monday for surgery on my herneea, and pandecktommy to remove extra skin on my lower stomake.. (from bellybutton down to somwhere down below that????? gonna cut me from hip to hip , i guess.. ( actuly above the hip).. woohoo, down another pant size or 2.. down from 440 to 195 so far.. sure hope to stop soon..:smile11:so i will be away from my puter for 4 days or so i guess.. pray for me and the wife , please..

I had my stitches taken out today and the Dr said it was healing good and my ribs are doing good. I start rehab Monday but the plate in my shoulder is still a little uncomfortable. Tom

This is a continuation of the thread below. I was supposed to have surgery on my back close to two months ago. I got a blood clot in my lower left leg a few days before the surgery and it had to be canceled. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=59851 This time, due to the clot and my having been on blood thinners for two months, it's more complicated. I checked in tonight (wed) about 5:30. Tomorrow sometime I am scheduled to have a filter inserted in a vein leading to my heart. They are supposed to go in either femoral artery at my groin, or in my neck. This is supposed to catch any clot that may break loose before it gets to heart or lungs. Then, I have to stay in hospital over the weekend. Monday, my Dr. is going to do surgery on my lower back and remove the extruded disc that is pressing on my spinal cord. I should be able to go home Monday afternoon if that surgery goes well. I will be so happy to get rid of this pain. For a couple of weeks I was taking 8 percocets a day in order to tolerate the pain. I haven't rode the scooter once this year yet and I am missing it. I have my laptop with me and hooked into hospitals wireless system. Got all my bike files with me. Its amazing how much Venture related stuff I have, 18 gig worth. I am sure I will be on here over the weekend, If you don't here from me after Monday, there will be a bunch of Venture parts for sale, wife has said if I go, garage is getting cleaned out. She has no idea how much I have spent on this, so it will be a bargain if I don't pull through. Gary

Well I'm still climbing over obsticals but I'm determined to get there ! I removed cleaned and set the float levels on the carbs and was set to replace the rear tire when I got home from work Monday, well the wife hired some guys to redo our patio and when I got home things were not going as well as I had expected, Monday night shot. Tues 14.75 hour day at work no energy left sooo Wednesday my day off I had a crown scheduled to be put on a tooth @ 10:00 am and we are buying another house so we had to meet and sign contracts @ 8:00 am finally get to the bike at about 11:00 jack it up and the dang rear shock is bleeding friggin oil everywhere a few dozen phone calls and I have one landing here tomorrow, well I got the tire replaced, brake pads replaced, splines lubed, diff oil changed and alot of things cleaned. I'll pick up the shock on the way home tomorrow and get the bike back together before I crash, work Friday then drive to Grand Rapids so I can be at a meeting there at 7:00 am till about 11:00 2 hrs back to Flint load up and head to St Ignace for the night and head to the Keewenaw to spend the night with friends, Monday a day of rest sightseeing and Tuesday continuing WEST TO CODY THATS RIGHT I"M NOT BACKING DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but It will be a proud day when I get to where I am going. I am going to Omaha Ne to see my son retire from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant on Friday 6-17-2011. There will be a retirement ceremony and a reception to follow. After 20 years of service and several trips back and forth to war he is finally done and safe. All the years he has been in the service I really didn't know what his career was all about, only thing he could say was it was all top secret and will tell me when he is done. I hope to find out. What's good is he will retire on Friday walk out and return on Monday 6-20-2011 with the same job at 100K a year plus his retirement. Needless to say I am proud of my son. I will post some pictures when I return on Sunday or Monday. Any members who have family in the service God bless them and may they return home safe and sound. Star4772

If any venture riders in the UK are not aware - this bank holiday (Monday) Thanet is hosting its 4th annual Ace Cafe meet in Margate. We estimate around 45, 000 bikes will attend this event on and around the harbour. With live bands,bars and stalls its the place to be this Monday. I'll post some pics next week.

Hello: 67mini67 is leaving Washington state today, on his way to Freebirds MD. Stopping in Colorado overnite on Sunday. Hoping to stop here in Western Nebraska for lunch on Monday, I look forward to meeting him. Wishing him safe travels.

Ya I know, we all knew that,,, but this is different. They are planning to be in S.Ontario from next Friday to Thursday morning June 2. Now we don't mind having them around,,,, at least that's what I'm supposed to say,,,,,, but some others may like to have a go at them for a day or so. So here's the proposition: Friday afternoon and evening they'll be in our care, and anyone else that shows up,,, it is the start of Marcarl's VentureIn. so we'll have supper somewhere and then BS the evening away. Saturday they is going to join in on the VentureIn, meet lots of new folks, forget all their names and be plum wore out,,, soooooo Sunday is a day of relaxing and catching up with the time,,,,, maybe. Being that they are 12 hours ahead of us, and that they have been flying for a day or so, jet lag may be an issue. ( and they ain't spring chickens anymore) Monday,,, maybe somebody would like to take them to see some sites,,, maybe Niagara Falls or maybe Toronto, or maybe Kitchener Waterloo,,,, who knows. Tuesday,, the same as Monday, only different,,,,,,, maybe different people and other sites. Wednesday a repeat of Monday and Tuesday, just don't get them bored with repeats. Thursday, they plan on heading for Don's to get maintained properly. The idea is that they would meet with more folks than just us,,, hey,, sleep overs are great as well maybe. Offer up some suggestions, let's make it interesting for them. This will need to be approved by the boss,, of course!!!

My sources in Ontario tell me that Canada is implimenting a new program to reduce new claims for Welfare. Apparently, starting this coming Monday, a claim forms will be printed only in English..... Now if that don't beat all....

I'm trying to modify one of my excel sheets but can't figure what formula(s) to use. I track regional fuel costs on a weekly basis for billing purposes. I want to be able to insert the first monday of each year and have the formula fill each subsequent monday within the respective month. (More specific I need the first Monday after the 25th of each month which means in some years that would be a December date) My problem lies in the fact that some months will have 5 and others only 4 such dates. This is what I have so far and I want to replace the "week #" with an actual date. 12/26/10 week 1 3.012 3.256 January week 2 3.029 3.303 week 3 3.050 3.308 week 4 3.056 3.392 week 5 3.068 3.421 total 3.043 3.336 $ 3.28 01/26/11 week 1 3.041 3.432 February week 2 3.067 3.501 week 3 3.089 3.524 week 4 3.132 3.557 week 5 total 3.082 3.504 $ 3.42 For purposes of this sample the first Monday would actually be 12/27/10 and week 5 in February should remain blank as the 2/28 falls in the next billing cycle. This may be old news to some here but it's pretty exciting to me. I had been searching for a trailer hitch for my 2007 Venture and found more than I could digest. Then I looked at this site http://www.venturedad.com/RSV%20hitch.htm and was surprised at the price. I wanted the hitch so that I could fly a couple flags on PGR missions and this one looked to fit the job. I called the number listed and talked to Roy, the owner/mfg'er and he put one in the mail that day. I got it today and had it installed in just a few minutes. When I ordered the hitch on Monday I asked Roy if he wanted me to pay with PayPal or how would he prefer ? He said that he preferred I just mail him a check and that was the end of that. Pretty hard to believe but the hitch came today via USPS Priority Mail - order on Monday, install on Wednesday and it came from Washington state. I guess I had better get a check in the mail
