I was going 35 MPG and I let go of the handel bars to zip up my jacket, I know I shouldn't ever take both my hands off grips , but that being said at that speed the front wheel really started to wobble, I that I was going down for a moment it was that bad, at first I thought it was just the road but I tried it again and again the wobble. I also tried at 30 mpg and 40 and zero wobble. What should I be looking at ? Thanks

I had a weak moment and bought a 1986 Harley Sportster 883. This bike belonged to a fellow teacher that couldn't ride anymore. The bike sat for 3 years and I have repaired and got it road ready. This would be a great first bike and I will sale for 1400.00 under book value. I will take 4000.00 or best offer. I have rode the bike around 100 miles and runs great with no smoke. The bike has low mileage and when the speedo was removed to install drag bars the milage was at a little over 6000 miles. 870-405-3693 The bike is at Arkansas State University/ Searcy, AR Automotive Technology Department if you want to see it.

I thought I may take a minute to share this with you since I am aware there are a few mature folks here. And, I am sure some can relate to my current situation. Tomorrow morning at the VA, I not only have an upper endoscopy (upper GI) being done down my throat, but I am also having a colonoscopy(that's the other end). At the moment, I have just finished the 1st half gallon of the wonderfully refreshing drink and am seeing some results, if I want to look. My stomach currently sounds like a gang of Hell's Angels are making hot laps. I am at the point that it is hard to complete a sentence as I am both a slow typist and have these immediate needs that MUST be addressed. Now, if I am able to go to sleep later on(in the bathtub?), I have to get up at 3AM and finish the other half gallon. OK, I'm back, where was I? That's something to look forward to. So, if you think you were having a crappy day, I might want to trade with you. I will just be glad when things start clearing up. I have been assured by the VA that even though they are on a tight budget, they WILL use two DIFFERENT probes. Well, gotta run(no pun intended) and "May the Force Be with You". Speaking of, I don't need to force anything at the moment. RandyA

I will be able to do Maint day,The Skid in and Ashville but as of right this moment I will be leaving for Iraq on the 15th of July. Sledgehammer has agreed to let me store 3 of the bikes in his barn and ADC is going to come by the house and ride the SS bike for me.Mini may or may not be good on the web site. I am going to say I am sorry for all the pot stirring she is going to do while I am gone for the year. I will miss everyone while I am gone but ya gotta do what you gotta do so I am going over to work on as they are saying at the moment H60s for the Army and Airforce. I will check in as often as possible while I am over in the sand box. I will have Mini keep everone informed of my status while I am away and I am sure that she will set up a meet and eat for when I get home. Dont worry she will still make it to some of the meet and eats while I am gone she already started making arangments to get some riding in with a few of our members. Jeff

Just wanted to say from our home to all of you, a safe and Merry Christmas. At a time when everything is so commercialized, I always try to remember what is important to us, whether it is the religious significance, family or quiet reflection, I ask that we take a moment to remember those if us are going through difficult times and ask for a moment for them. I have grown to care very deeply for everyone on this wonderful place and consider each of you family. So, most of all on this day I wish you all peace.

American's dependence on foreign oil threatens our safety and prosperity! If the government continues to ignore the problem it is up to us to force it to take steps to solve it. Please take a moment and take action and urge everyone you know to do as well, by e-mails or post on other websites! http://www.americansolutions.com/

Plugs may take different socket
Guest posted a topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Hi everyone, I just did the 8,000 mile service in the 06 TD, which included spark plugs. Not a hard job at all. Spark plugs (NGK) that came out were 11/16 socket while the ones going in were 5/16 (Champion). I did not anticipate this, but quickly realized that the cross reference was right although the different socket sizes threw me for a moment. Not big news to the better wrenches on the site, but helpful to me and perhaps someone else. Bike runs great, and the plugs I took out could have remained for several more k's. Jim -
Having an imported RSV 1300 in the UK is there any way to alter the frequency count on the radio controller to even and odd frequencies? My local radio station along with many others uses an even number. ie 107.2 and 102.2. Any ideas? Old Miner. (Having a 'senior moment'). Sorry for putting it in the wrong place, first time I have used the forum. DOH!!!!
