When I retired three years ago, my wife and I bought a new home and left behind a conventional hot tub, at our old home. We enjoyed it for 15 years and then got rid of it because of age and the fact that we no longer were excited to be going out in 15 degree F weather to use it outside on the patio, in the winter. We have been discussing getting a new one for our home but don't want to put it outside due to the expense of keeping it heated in our Western NY winters. I have seen advertisements for the new inflatable spas and tubs and thought we could use one outdoors in the summer and then move it into our basement in the winter so that we could use it year round. Do any members have one of these units and use it indoors in the winter and what are the drawbacks about the moisture level in a heated basement? Any and all comments and thoughts (both pro and con) would be appreciated. As I mentioned, I have owned one for many years, so I am familiar with the operation and chemicals, etc.. Just not sure about the moisture in an enclosed heated basement. Jim

Just a few pictures to show what the TCI looked like that came off the 85 bike. I believe it has had some moisture go thru it. RandyA

So i packed the runkill switch with dielectric grease and the stupid thing still left me stranded in a parking lot. So i took the switch out and bypassed it just to get home. I'd like to find a totally new switch somewhere (maybe a better one that handles moisture a little better). Any ideas? I'm not having much luck other than some crappy used ones on ebay that will probably have the same issue. thanks a bunch.

Friends: I took a 600 Mile round trip last sunday to Ohio. When I left Virginia it had rained the night before and lots of water on the highway. Trucks blew by me and the mist seemed to collect on the windshield rather than sheet off like my former Memphis Shades windshield did. Anyone know any tricks for treating the windshield so the moisture sheets off? This moisture on the windshield made it difficult at times to see. I know that the manufacturer does not recommend products like RainX. Any and all ideas appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I have a RSTD that has just over 6000 miles on it. The muffler tips were turned town. I turned them up recently. I noticed that when I first start my bike, I see moisture in accumulating on the inside if the muffler tip until the bike warms up. This only is happens on the right muffler. Is this normal condensation or should I be concerned. The bike seems to function normally. I checked the coolant and it seems to be where it should (suspecting an internal problem). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Finally got the new to me Venture to where it will start and run. Clutch is working. Brakes on front. Still got rear brakes and a lot of plastic to go.But a lot of moisture coming out of the breather tube. Had it running without box on and a LOT of moisture coming out of there. So heavy it throws it in drops when you rev it. Don't know. That black cloud just don't want to go away. Don't want to say it. HEAD GASKET?? Change engines??"Blue Beast" starting to look like my best option.
