Does anyone know if the chrome front fender extension piece are interchangable on the MKI sv MKII?

I have a MKI with cruise but was wondering if it would be possible to get the cruise from a MKII moved over to the MKI I know I'd need to get the handlebar controls.. And I'm thinking there is a controller of some sort buried somewhere.. It would be nice to have the resume / bump up and bump down features...

Hidden in a box of parts appears to be a pair of drivers backrest mounts for an MKI bike. Folks, Wondering if these MKII items will fit on a MKI... Travel trunk? (My helment won't fit in my MKI trunk, and see that the MKII trunk is much deeper). Will a MKII trunk fit without much trouble? Passenger footboard mounting plate? I really like the MKII style of flip-down/flip-up footboard, compared to the MKI things I have. Will a MKII mounting plate fit without too much trouble, and will the muffler mounting be compatible? Thanks to all for your input.

I'm not sure of my memory on this one but both the MKI and MKII inner fork tubes are 40mm or 41mm diameter? Mike

Can anybody tell me if a hitch taken off of a MKI fit onto an MKII ?

I have an MKII. 1) I just like to know if the MKI has a 17mm nut where the black plastic cover goes over the nut at the bent. 2) Also what is the biggest socket that will fit into that same opening ignoring the 17mm nut. On my MKII a Craftsman 19mm socket is the biggest socket that fits into that hole. Appreciate someone providing that information. -
Developed for the V-Max, has anyone put one of these on a MkI? they are 110's instead of the OEM 120. What's your experience? Thanks!

I just got an MKII trunk delivered the other day. But I need the brackets that bolt the front of the trunk to the chrome mount. The ones I circled in red in the picture. Anybody have a couple they want to part with? I had also bought a mount assuming that it would be a simply bolt onto my MKI. But it doesn't. So I'm going to have to either modify the mount to fit my MKI, or modify the trunk to fit my MKI mount. The plus side to the later it that I might be able to take it on & off with a key like the MKI trunk. Who knows? Bill Oh ya! a couple of those pouches I circled in blue would be nice as well. -
I am in need of a driveshaft and rear differential for my 85, anybody able to help out? -

I have a few small odds & ends laying around from my MKI rebuild that I don't feel like putting on ebay. I just put a lot of 1st gen stuff on ebay, including a set of side covers & knee fairings that are in good shape. Do an advanced search on seller ID dingy101 if interested. 1st freebie is a louver from a knee fairing. Only one of the louvers is there but it could be moved to another unit. I also have a complete set of brake lines. I really don't advocate using old parts like these, but I understand someone may need them that can't afford new ones. MKI headlights. Plastic engine heat fairings. Couple of sets of MKI cams. Valve covers California air unit. Thermostat housing Horn set MKI clutch - missing one full friction plate. All this stuff is in need of cleaning. All I ask for it is actual shipping costs. Gary

For those who have the Drag Specialties driver's backrest on their MKI & MKII, do you still have room for the passenger? I put one on my MKI this winter and I sat on the back to see how much room there was for a passenger. It felt kind of tight. And I'm not a real big guy around the middle. A bit more that average, but not a lot. Plus my knees felt like they have to quite a ways apart to get around the supports. Anybody have them on their scoots and are able to have a passenger still ride with it in place? Thanks, Bill

I have located a MKII headlight for my MKI and need the MKII headlight brackets/mounts. Anybody parting out a MKII? How about a photo of the area behind the MKII headlight?

I see some people swapping out the front end of their MKI for the MKII front to get the newer anti-dive system. Other than the MKII being electronically controlled, what makes the MKII better than the MKI?

What is it that is different between the rear footrests on a MKI & MKII? I think I read somewhere on here that the MKII footrests will not fit on the MKI. Is there a difference in the bolt pattern? Or is there something else obvious that I'm not seeing? Thanks, Bill

We were southbound on I-15 just north of Fillmore, Utah about 07:15 last Friday. Saw a northbound Blonde 1Gen MKI. Curious if it was anyone from the group. DJ
