Valve shims. I am about to undertake my first valve adjustment and I need to know if I need to buy a complete valve shim kit or individual shims. If individual, what thickness and how many? I know it's hard to tell without checking the old ones but what is the most common sizes? If I'm not mistaken it's possible I could need 16 new shims, not likely but possible. Where is the best place to get them? I need this info ASAP so I can get the shims on the way. Thanks for any help...

I am looking at one of their tachs right now and I know Baron's has a seperate controller for single fire ignition that will correct an error on RPM's displaying incorrectly. I believe we are a dual fire if I am not mistaken. Just wondering for those who may have installed an autometer tach if you had to use a controller to adjust rpm. Thanks

Just bought a GW trike body off ebay. Thinking about making my 88 a trike. Do you think I'll get grief by the Venture bunch for using GW parts on it? I just hope to make it different enough it won't be mistaken for a GW.

:confused24:I tried to go into the thread "Ride Ideas" and was asked for a password to enter. I guessed that the password that I use to log onto the site was the same but I must be mistaken. Are we now starting private threads with invitation only?

I'm looking to buy an older Venture, most likely 1st generation as the prices seem right for my budget. I've just learned about the 2nd gear problems and come to accept the fact that I may have to fix this on my future bike. Now I'm hearing about the frames rusting and breaking in half...Makes me a little nervous to say the least. How common is this rust problem, and am I mistaken in assuming California bikes may not be as prone to it with the weather we have? How do I check it (can I?) before paying good money for a bike that's about to split...? Thanks, John

At this past weekends Meet and Eat in NC several members inquired about my brake light on the trunk. Here is an movie that shows it but really does not do justice to how bright this setup is. Anyway here are the links to the strobe/flasher and light bar. I was mistaken on the price of the light bar but it's still a great deal for safety sake. Flasher:http://www.customdynamics.com/led_strobe.htm Light Bar:http://www.customdynamics.com/flex_led_array.htm Let me know if the file does not play and I'll try and upload it again. Wayne
