I have completed the installation of an HID headlight and a pair of Martin Fabrication HID running lights. Attached are some pics when off, when on, and the switches (on and off). I added a switch for the headlight since it dies during starting (voltage drop will not keep the HID burning). Am looking forward to burning a hole through the darkness soon. Need to get at least another 6 inches of snow melted off the back drive though so I can get the bike out of the shop. C'mon Spring!!! RR

A man who has become a friend purchased my RSTD. His name is Martin and he lives by Charlotte, NC. He is flying in this coming Saturday night to pick up the bike and ride it back to his home. He is a professional firefighter in Charlotte and all around good guy. I met him a few weeks ago when he was checking out a new fire engine for his department. He will be staying at my house Sat. night and we will be leaving with him on Sunday morning. Linda and I will ride about 200 miles with him and would like to arrange some riding company for him the rest of the way. We have not planned a route for him yet, but would like to get it done in 2 days, so I would imagine there will be a fair amount of interstate. The route will be from Merrimac, WI to Charlotte, NC Martin has also joined our group, but I don't know his user name, yet. Thanks

Sunday, July 07/'08 I was on my way, to a Steve Miller Band concert, when I encountered the parking lot that I-70 East bound lane had nearly become. I missed the concert, "by that much"!>>>>>>>>>>> Wednesday, My phone rings, it's Dorothy, my neighbor and good friends Ex - wife. Martin passed away this morning, His youngest daughter just left, she had been at the hospital, we had a cup of joe. We sat there and exchanged some emotional happenings, I expressed my regrets, for never having said I love you to my friend. I miss you, my brother Martin, your passing has left a void, that will be hard to fill. These past fifteen + years, we slowly learned a mutual, and unconditionally, loving respect, for one another. Thank you my brother, my friend. "Vaya con Dios, mi Amigo", Martin Our lives are but a brief passage in time, those we touch, as well as those who honor, us by touching our hearts in some manner, may have gone on but their memories will be inseparable in our hearts till he takes us home and reunites us once again!
