A newer member here, Zzyzx, has stepped up to the plate and donated one of his very nice RSV/RSTD trailer hitches to be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Lonna and that Squid boy guy that she is married to. A huge thanks to Zzyzx. View and bid at this link and remember...it's for a great cause. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=100

Well my Son got Married today in a somewhat small (around 60 guests) but nice ceremony with a reception afterwards. Quite interesting, an American wedding but She is Romanian and most of her relatives didn't speak much English so they got her three young (10-12) nephews to be ushers because they spoke both languages the best. OH I'm going to be a Grandpa also, they set the wedding date long before they found out, She is only around 6 weeks along. She changed out of her wedding dress before I took this picture.

WHO IS JACK SCHITT? For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt'! Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt. Now when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt', you can correct them. Sincerely, Crock O. Schitt :rotfl::rotfl:

Now as a guy I find a need for a "Special" type of card on certian holidays. They just ain't out there. Hallmark don't have the kind of stuff to show how I feel. "I've always wanted to have someone to hold, someone to love. After having met you, I've changed my mind." "I must admit, you brought religion into my life. I never believed in Hell till I met you." "Looking back over the years that we've been together, I can't help but wonder: What the heck was I thinking?" "As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am that you're not here to ruin it for me." "If I get only one thing for Christmas, I hope it's your sister." "As I grow older, I think of all the gifts you've given me. Like the need for therapy..." "Thanks for being a part of my life! I never knew what evil was before this!" "Money is tight, times are hard, here's your freaking Christmas card!!!" "Someday I hope to get married, just not to you." "I just want you to know that I'm sorry for what happened, especially since you survived." "Happy Birthday! You look great for your age... Almost Lifelike!" "Congratulations on getting married! It's not every day you decide to ruin your life!" "I always wanted to be rich, powerful, and well respected. While I'm dreaming, I wish you weren't so damn ugly." "Congratulations on your wedding day! Too bad nobody likes your wife…" "I'm so miserable without you; it's almost as if you were here."

Hi everyone, my parents 50th wedding anniversary is in April and me my brother and sisters are at a loss as to what to get them. They have 4 kids 3 married 1 divorced (I had to be different) 7 grandkids 1 married and 1 great granddaughter who cries everytime she sees me.....must be the beard and long hair.....yeah thats it. I was thinking of something with all of our names and maybe birthstones or something along those lines. We are a very tight family and see each other almost weekly which is why I was thinking of something not only celebrating 50 years of putting up with each other but also celebrating the family that started with them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way they do not wear jewelry. Thanks Mark

The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just gotten married for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation. "He's a funeral director," she answered. "Interesting," the newsman thought. He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living. She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she had first married a banker when she was in her early 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, and a preacher when in her 60's, and now in her 80's, a funeral director. The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse careers. She smiled and explained; "I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."

Well my Wife, Mrs saddlebum, and I have have been Married 33 years today. I first met her when because I was on crutches due to a motocross wipeout. With only a good left leg and three pedals in the car I was unable to drive up to my best friends place. so, he and his girl friend (who was my wifes cousin) arranged to have her pick me up to take me to his house. At this point I did not even know who she was, other than that she came up from St Louis, to spend some time visiting with her cousin. Next thing I knew we started dating, then marriage, then five kids and finally a grandson, At the rate I'm going I will be as old as Marcarl in no time. Other than getting old I have no regrets, I married a wonderful women, and cannot even imagine being married to anyone else.

As many of you know the news has been reporting that the 2010 census will be arriving sometime in March or was it May of this year. They said it would be 10 questions and encouraged folks to fill it out and get it back to them ASAP. Well a buddy of mine got a census survey the other day. It is 48 question...supposed to take you 38 minutes to fill it out. With some of the questions they ask I doubt you could fill it out in 2 days due to the research require to give correct answers. I looked it over and could not believe all the stuff that is on there. I think there is a post from Jan of last year where somebody here got one seems just like it. First you have to list iformation about every one who lives in the household. Race Sex date of birth...no real problems there Then they get into a lot of stuff that is really none of their business. Describe your house...housetrailer, apartment etc. How many rooms is in it...when was it built, do you have running water, flush toliet, stove, refrigerator? How much land is it sitting on? How much agriculture products did you raise on that land? how do you heat your house...what did it cost last month. How much is you monthly payment? How much is your taxes? How much is your insurance? Do you have health insurance? who is it with? When did you get married? how long have you been married...how many times have you been married? Have you had a baby in the last 12 months? Are you a grandparent taking care of grandchildren? Do you go to school? Where - address? Did you work last week? How may hours? How much did you make? Where did you work last week? Address? What kind of a compay do you work for? What are your duties at work? What time did you leave home for work? How did you get to work? How many cars, trucks 1 ton and under do you own? How many minutes did it take you to get to work? Income from work? Income from self employement, Interest, dividends? Total income from the last 12 months? And they will fine you $5000 dollars for not filling this out. But they will fine you less if you lie on it. My buddy is buying more guns and is about the declare war on the US goverment. They have mailed 2 surveys and 3 letters to him. Next step they going to contact him by phone and if they do not get the results they want they are coming to his house. I saw the letter. I think they are getting a little bit too Bold with this. There is gonna be trouble...just watch the news you will hear about it I am sure.

This has nothing to do with biking...but a funny thing happened last weekend. To make a long story short....my neice got married Sat night and we have been bustin our butts to get the farm ready for my parents 50th party the next day. My oldest son was suppose to be married by a jp in a couple of weeks, but Grandma made a special request from them Sat night. "Wouldn't it be fun if you two could be married on Grandpa and my 50th anniversary? I could line up a minister by tommorrow!" So, that's what happened!! The kids asked grandpa and grandma to stand up for them, the minister was a trooper and the guests that came for the anniversary party ended up at a wedding! They thought it was great! What a wonderful weekend and now I finally have a daughter!! Life is good! Thanks for letting me share.....

Okay. I can retire next year with 30 years at my job and I'd love to move from my area. (Northern Va.) The traffic alone is killing me as well as the summer heat/humidity and cost of living. We plan on staying along the east coast but I prefer to be i the mountains or very close to them. My goal has been to move to New Hampshire but I can see the wife getting a little worried now about this move. We have one married daughter who is married to a Marine and I already know she doesn't want to move back to this area when he's done. My son is in college and he really hs no need to come back here if we're not here. We need to be somewhere close to doctors and a hospital and fairly close to an airport. I'm looking for someplace that's a little cooler, on average, then what we see in Va. I hear there are places in the Mt's in NC, VA, Tenn where people claim the temps are always 15 degrees cooler in the summer time. Any suggestions?

My father passed away peacefully on Wed morning with all of his immediate family by his side. He truly was a good man. One I was proud to have as my father. Throughout my life he was always there to help, encourage and even criticise both my brother and I. He lived a very full life of 83 years of which 62 were while married to my mother. He retired from the Lexington KY police dept with 29 years of service. Fortunately he was able to enjoy retirement for 25 years. Attached is his photo taken in about 1974. He will be missed. Dennis
