Hello to all. We are finally back online. The last 2 months have been a wreck. Readers digest version: Computers (plural) down. One new computer purchsed. One truck sent to boneyard and one car purchased. Maggie now has a 2001 Volvo S80. Maggie ended up taking a different job. Turned out well as she got a pay raise. Very unplanned. We lost quite a few folks at work due to contract breaches and overturns. I have worked 7 days a week since the 1st of March. Most weeks in excess of 70 hours. I am thankful to have a job, just need a break! Good news is we are finally getting a break. I have this weekend off. We are going to ride the three sisters in Leakey. Our 1st ride together since last June! I have battery cable cut and ready to outfit when I get back. If anyone still wants them. It looks like I will have the next 4-6 weekend off to catch up. Bet we figure out a way to spend the overtime money! Talk to everyone soon. Jb and Maggie

Well, this time it is actually a good thing. MochaLady and I found a place to hang our helmets. We are heading for Floresville, Texas. Or more precisely about 10 miles north of there 1/2 way from San Antonio. We picked up 5 acres with a 2500 SF home. It is a double wide set on a permanent foundation. We have 4 bedrooms, 3 bahrooms, 2 living rooms, and a study. Momma gets a small greenhouse and I get a garage. So, all the missed rides, meets n eats, and other things are now worth it. I have been working 6-7 days a week all year and Maggie has been working double 16 hr days on the weekends and a day or two in the week. Now the better news, after we move, Maggie will go back to working during the week and not on weekends. I will actually do the same. Might even take some vacation soon. Heck, a friend of ours even gave us an old Honda CB400. Maggie wants me to fix it so she can learn to ride her own scoot. Soon, we will have a bit of a housewarming (after Christmas) and invite our friends over to share some hospitality. We have even named the place FUGAWEE ACRES! It is far enough out of town to stand in the middle of our back field and shout "Where the Fugawee!" We close on the 10th of November - in 2009. JB

From a ride on Sunday the26th of October. Three of us on our Tour De Luxes headed out through the Dragon, over to Maggie Valley and back through Smoky Mountains National Park by way of the Blue Ridge Parkway. In Maggie Valley we went to Wheels Trough Time, a great little museum!

Just got back from the Blue Ridge, and I ran into some wild skewts in Maggie Valley, NC...had to share these!
