Hey, does anyone have a ride, rally, or m/c function that is going on in your neck of the woods, or prairie, or hills, or valley in the next couple months ??? I am itching for another ride before this year ends. I am riding down to Bolivia in the beginning of January, but that means I have the rest of October, all of November, and all of December with no rides planned. Whoa is me. So if you have a m/c event in your area, or anywhere west of Timbuktu, Mali (that is in Africa), please send me a PM, and let me know. I need some more miles on these tires on my RSMTD before I take the bike apart for wheel attitude adjusments. Thanks,

Anyone know how to get Ebay auctions history for the past 2 years of entire Venture m/c?

Using an automotive floor jack (and a block of wood) what is the best location to lift the bike. (for example to change fork bearings) I don't see clear access to the frame & I don't want to crush the exhaust. Can I use the engine pan? I will eventually get a M/C Jack Sorry for all the questions but I don't find any in the search & I figure thre will be something for future VentureRiders!

after reading about "BONGO-BOB'S "misfortune, it became obvious to me that some members here are "savvy" about peripheral neuropathy. my sister has it in both feet, and now her hands are showing signs of "loss of feeling". she is NOT diabetic, and is rapidly becoming a cripple. anyone who knows about this malady, please respond or p.m. me with your input. God bless all. just jt

I did not go on the M/C even after rushing to get the parts for it, the weather was to nasty so I took the truck with my 4 legged kids to Alexander Springs ( Ocala National Forest) I bought an old Sears canvas tent from an estate sale years ago for 10$ and never set it up till this week, all the parts were there but took a while to figure out, it was waterproof with all the rain we had. This was my first trip there and it was nice, the water was crystal clear but cold, I will go back again.

I know that new bearings on big machinery can get a bit hot, sometimes to the point of boiling the grease, until they wear in. Just wondered about smaller ones, like say car or m/c wheel bearings? My guess is they do to some extent & I bet some of you guys will know for sure. Tony.

and they are nice. Thanks for the work in getting these done. thanks Don for not putting a road block on these. Lady Massey says i have to get her a jacket to put hers on. I was wondering when she was gonna want some M/C gear! Christmas is jus' around the corner too! while our pins may look like someone else's - they are much different cause they are ours!

Quickstep and I had a great day (Sunday) doing the annual Patriots M/C poker run for prostate cancer research. Left at 8am, and got home at 7pm Great to catch up with a lot of people I hadn't seen since the accident (2 1/2 yrs) and to make new friends also. :clap2:A lot of the members are Vietnam Vets, as well as some still serving in the forces. I live in a navy town and have always supported their fund raiser's etc. Great bunch of folk's and they were interested in my "quike" and loved the fact I was still riding.

I've looked at the Trike forum...reviewed the Darksiders forum...and still have questions... Second Gen RSMV....Tri-Wing Trike 6 degrees of rake (ie E-Z Steer) rides & performs like a dream...last week was 2000+ miles of the Ozarks...bit dodgie in the rain, but was expected...BUT....the front tire (M/C) isn't gonna make it....6000 miles and it's 75% gone..Need opinons or suggestions on conveting to a C/T....

The RSV manual states that the size of the rear tire should be 150/90B15 M/C 74H. I'm looking at getting the following: * Front = Avon 150/80-16 71H * Rear = Avon 150/90B-15 M/C 80H 1) What does the M/C stand for? 2) What does the 74H and 80H stand for? 3) Being the manual states 74H and Avon has a 80H, will that be a problem? 4) Avon also has a 74V. What does the "V" stand for? (Which one is better, the "H" or the "V" series?)

Hi- I have an 06 RSTD, trying to install a CB and an intercom. TOO much ignition, alternator and fuel pump noise. How have you solved this problem? Are there any filter kits available or do I need to do it myself? Helmets with J&M headsets are also used with another m/c, radio is Cobra handheld, intercom is Air Rider.

Copied from another thread..... Here's my position on shimming Squeeze. If the handle bar masters are going to slip or rotate on the tubing with shims, they would do it without the shim because of improper torqueing. 6mm bolts will give plenty of torque compression to make the masters stationary. The weak point will be the threads in the aluminum body due to over torquing , and that exists, shims or not. I understand what you're talking about in delinking. I hadn't thought about the rear master driving the 2ndGen front caliper. I wonder if it could??? The 2ndGen calipers I have are the 2 piston varity with the floating offside pads. I wonder if it's the right way to go??? Hmmmm.... Got to think about this somemore....
