Just blew out the back tire on the highway. Almost made it standing. Used the grass bank instead of the pavement for the fall. Roughed up the bike a bit, luckily I am fine. Now to sit and wait for the wife to bring the truck so I can load it up.

i was just sitting here at the keyboard and the picture of lewis coming off the highway at a turn off near memphis, flashed in my mind. although it was'nt funny at the time it makes me chuckle now. it was a 90 degree off ramp and lewis hit the weeds. dust and crap was flying everywhere. luckily he got back on the pavement safely. i almost followed him on my wing. luckily all the debris flying caught my attention and i stayed on the road. sorry lewis not to good with secrets. reason it made me laugh is the same thing happened years ago with a buddy of mine as he missed a turn at 50 mph and i saw the same picture. luckily we sat over a beer later and laughed about it. bill

Just want to share this experiece with all. Coming home from work yesterday, I had an "Oh S**t!" moment. When I turned onto the freeway entrance ramp, I thought to myself, "Looks a little bit greasy." Next thing I know, I feel the rear tire sliding out as I am leaning. Out of natural reaction, without even thinking, I put my left foot out to catch myself. LUCKILY I was only going about 20mph, although it was still fast enough to kick my foot back at me. Fortunately, it was enough to keep me upright and uninjured. Going down would have been bad enough, but the moron in his pickup behind me was pretty close.

I just tried Live Earth though and it is showing pictures within the last couple of years. Here is the one of my place. Luckily it was taken while those pond monsters were present. My Place
