Well my Wife, Mrs saddlebum, and I have have been Married 33 years today. I first met her when because I was on crutches due to a motocross wipeout. With only a good left leg and three pedals in the car I was unable to drive up to my best friends place. so, he and his girl friend (who was my wifes cousin) arranged to have her pick me up to take me to his house. At this point I did not even know who she was, other than that she came up from St Louis, to spend some time visiting with her cousin. Next thing I knew we started dating, then marriage, then five kids and finally a grandson, At the rate I'm going I will be as old as Marcarl in no time. Other than getting old I have no regrets, I married a wonderful women, and cannot even imagine being married to anyone else.

At around 60 mph I hear whisling since a week and I didn't do anything on my bike. Some of my friends dont want to buy a RSV for this reaon. Apparently the Yamaha's engineer are not able to find the cause of this agressive noise (whistling). If one of you found the cause let me know. Louis

My wife and I are going to St Louis, MO for a relatives birthday part around July 4th so we thought we would take a ride to the Ozarks first. We have not been there before so we are looking for some suggestions about lodging etc. We are going to leave on Wednesday July 1 and will need to be in the St Louis area by late afternoon on the 3rd, it does not leave us a lot of time we know that. Any help would be appreciated.

On Friday, June 5th I will be flying to Wichita Kansas to pick up my new (to me) Venture, and then heading out on a 2 day journey back home to NE Indiana. I hope to be spending Friday nite in St. Louis....probably St. Charles....and wondering if any members in the area would like to meet for a late dinner on Friday (maybe Culpeppers?) or for breakfast on Sat morning before I hit the road again. We are going to be leaving from St Louis area Thursday on our way to Freebird's place for maintenance day. Anyone else going to be one the road in the area that day? We plan on taking 2 days, getting there sometime Friday. Let me know if anyone wants riding company.

several of us are going to meet at the hub in arkansas where the international rally will be held. we will be meeting there saturday may 23, for brunch. so far, colesgrampa, dooder1, wildhair, and i are going. if any one else is interested let me know you may hook up and ride with me or one of the other guys. i will be leaving the st. louis area about 5:30 am may 23, and coming back the same day. last time we did this last fall we had a great time. bill

My "new to me" 87 VR is acting up with a fast idle around 2500 rpm when warmed up. I've searched this forum and have found it is not that unusual. The recommended fixes are beyond my comfort level, as I would rather take it to someone who knows, rather than mess it up further myself, at least until I understand what to do. I am in the Benton, IL area about 110 miles SE of St. Louis. Any knowledgeable members or recommended shops/mechanics in this area? Thanks. -
Hey all just got back from St Louis, rode venture out Tuesday for a SportsMedicine Conference and other than my CB antenna coming off when I went to cover it on Tuesday the Ride was great, love the cruise control and got 48 mpg on way out and 46 on way back, set cruise at 73mph and off i went. anyway excited to get there and back in one piece and all i can say to sum up the venture is WOW!! can't wait for next ride to florida in august Brian D.

he guys, on a trip from cincinnati to st louis for a conference, had a great 404 mile ride here, park 07 rsv in parking garage, go to lower cb antenna so that i can cover up and as i pull up on the chrome sleeve the whole antenna comes out!!! so here i am with an antenna in my hand, stuck it back in but haven't fixed yet anyway any ideas such as can i glue the bottom portion in etc, having computor woes here in st louis so may not be able to check back on this post but hopefully so ideas before i leave friday for ohio. thanks Brian d.
