Hi guys, what is the best adhesive to use to reapply the yamaha and venture royale emblems? Seems like the factory stuff was awesome and I'm afraid I'll lose them with this double sided tape I was pondering. Thanks!

I bought this Venture Royale last spring and it ran great. Near the end of the season, Every time I would hit a bump it would lose it's oomph. The electric didn't go away just stumble on it's self and then pick back up. It did this intermittently. At the end of the season, My buddy and I went through the carbs as we thought it may be a carb issue. Didn't hurt. We found some clogged jets so it was worth it. After getting it back together, the bike just had no power from idle to full throttle. We started to check fire and found none at #1 and #3. This is my second bike the first ever was a 69 Honda dream which started out as pieces and parts in a box that I acquired when I helped a little old lady move. My wife and I enjoy riding very much so we would like to get it back up and going. I just need to know where to start. I wouldn't think ou could lose two coils at one time, so I'm thinking possible loose connection some where between pickup coil and coils. Any suggestions? aaaerstowr Fremont, NE

Riding home from a 170 mile ride this afternoon, the radio started cutting out, as I hit the back brakes. I made it to a gas station, filled up and no start. so I checked all the wiring, No lose battery bolts, nothing grounded that i can tell. and the battery is some what new. Throw some Idea's at me, please.

I haven't said anything about my weight loss but this week I hit the 77 lb mark in my weight loss program. I started out to lose 40 or 50 lbs but kept going because I felt great and had more weight to lose. I started at 300 lbs and would like to end up around 200 to 210.

The shifter lost the lock down screw and slid off the splines on my 84 Venture. I pushed it back on and got another nut. I put it in neutral and adjusted the shift rod until the light came on. When I tried riding it, I would have to stomp it hard to go into first. When I parked, the neutral light would not come on again. I would see it blink as I passed through to second. I tried the adjust twice more and each time, it would lose the light after shifting through the gears and first was still tricky. The Yamaha Service manual is no help. Any ideas OH GURUS of the TRIPPLE TUNNG FORKS?

I recently gave up my 1984 Gold Wing for a 01 RSV which is great; however the seams on the seat are giving way. Any suggestions for repair without having to lose the seat design. I have spoke with a couple of upholsterers but they say the work they do will flatten out the seats.

Info on making spare key
BuckShot posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Went to a locksmith Friday and had a spare key made. He gave me some info that I didn't find on here. If its already been posted, sorry. On your original key there is a number. He said to write it down on the registration and on a piece of paper in your wallet. He told me that any good locksmith can cut you a key using that number if you happen to lose your key and need one in a emergancy. I know that most of us carry a hidden key, but I thought this info was good to know. I guess you really do learn something everyday. -

Help - Not running on all 4?
Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I am looking for some help with a problem I am having with my bike. I have an 84 venture. I was out for a ride with some guys and one of them suggested to me that they think my bike is only running on 3 cylinders. This did not come as too much of a shock to me as my dad had had the problem two years ago. (The bike was his) He took it in and they replaced the "ignition unit". He seemed to think that the problem was fixed. Being that I am a new rider I realy didn't notice any lose of power, the bike has run the same the whole time I have used it. What I am wondering is how do I know if it is only running on 3 cylinders and what should or can I do to try and fix it. I don't want to have replace that ignition unit again, it cost pops about a $1000 bucks. Also when riding the bike seems to ( for lack of a better discription ) cough when in 2 and 3 gear at about 3500rpm. It doesen't lose power or jerk or anything like that. It just makes a noise. Could this be related to the cylinder problem? Any help or suggestions would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advace and ride safe. -
