Was wondering if any of you have this issue... I reviewed the site earlier this year as I wanted to get highway pegs. Lots of good talk on the Kuryakyn Longhorn footpegs, so I bought them. They work great, offer several foot positions and work well with the Yamaha air deflectors I added. Question is... if put good pressure on them (say... push myself back in the saddle) I can see/feel the engine guards flexing. As a result, I don't do that, however was wondering if others have the same issue? The engine guards seem to have a surprising amount of flex in them. I can get them to flex simply by grabbing on and pulling on them. I checked the bolts and they're tight. Just curious to others experiences. My RSTD was similiar. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. For a mixture of a birthday gift and Christmas gift (a little late - but I'm not complaining) my girlfriend decided to get me a set of these (Kuryakyn longhorn offset dually iso highway pegs --- Look up Longhorn offset 7980 and they come up). Well, I was the one that surprised her when I picked up a set for my self. SO, long story short, I do not need two sets and to save on the stupid 'restocking' fees and whatever they call them I was wondering if there was anyone in here that was looking for a set. These have the 1" clamp, which is correct for the RSV. I'll post these in the classifieds in a few days (I am still waiting for the ones that she ordered to arrive. They shipped out today and when she found out I got a pair for myself it was too late to cancel the order). They will be new, in box, never opened, I'll just put them in an appropriate shipping container and send it to you if you want them. - $132.00 and I'll cover shipping (to the US - If someone from Canada is interested let me know and I can figure out how much extra it will be to ship this north of the border -- or if someone wants them and is in Vancouver, I can deliver them when I am up there in a few weeks on business).

Hey all, bought kuryakyn longhorn offset dually highway pegs 7980. Just can't seem to get them exactly where I want them. Couple questions? -The clamp that snugs to the engine guard. Does it make a diff. where it goes? Either facing forward or backward? My foot seems to be catching the longarm part with the clamp facing backtowards the bike. -any torque specs on the bolts? I have tightened it to all most breaking point & the clamp is still slipping off the engine guard. (1") Maybe a piece of rubber inside the clamp?? & finally any pics of how you may have yours installed? Thanks Gang,
