Appreciate prayer for my brother Chris Fultz. We are very close. He got up this morning to get ready for the day and he always carries a small Smith & Wesson auto 380 pistol (we both have our CCW permits). He reached for the gun this morning and it accidentally went off and shot himself in the stomach. He rarely has the gun fully loaded with a round in the chamber. But he had loaded one in to kill a snake a few days earlier and forgot to remove it from the chamber. The bullet went in the front near the belly button and all the way and up and next to the left shoulder blade. The doctor removed the bullet from the rear near the shoulder blade. The doctor made a large size incision in his stomach. There was no vital organs damaged, other than a graze to the left lung. So God was watching over him. The worry now is recovery and that with out ammonia. He is running a low grade fever for now. I just got back from the hospital a little while ago. I was the one that was called right after 911 this morning around 4:30 AM. I lead and actually out ran the state police to my brothers house. The accident had to be treated just as a regular shooting until all was clear. I am thankful that the situation was no worse than it is. Could have been a lot worse. Please always, even when you awake and are sleepy headed, remember to respect a gun and always suspect the gun to be loaded fully when handling it. Treat it as loaded and ready at all times. My brother and I have handled guns all our lives (30yrs) and have never ever had an accident even closely related to this. So please always be careful. Guns are safe if handled properly. We appreciate all thoughts and prayers for my brother and his family. His son (15 yrs old) is in the hospital recovering from a rare lung surgery. So please remember him also. Part of the reason why my brother was so sleepy headed and careless. James Darrell Fultz (Fuzzy)

Got the 89 loaded and ready to leave in 6 hours with the family to attend and funeral and PGR Mission for a friend. Sgt Brian Walker, Military Police , Airborne, gave his life on Mother's Day. Brian was a personal friend and was recently married to my daughter's friend Ashley. Brian and my daughter served together in Afghanistan 2009/2010. It is such an honor to be asked by the wife to serve in the PGR Escort. I hope I can at least ride straight with the blurred vision attack I am sure to have. Brian was a great man, husband, soldier and friend. RIP Sgt Walker, we'll take care of Ashley for you, I know you are pulling double guard duty from above.

It all started Friday before last I bought a toy hauler in southern FL and we started a 1700 mile trip to go get it. We planed to take the long way home so I loaded the Harley on my carrier loaded the bed with pots pans bedding ect loaded 3 dogs and headed out. At every fuel stop the motorcycle on the carrier gathered a crowd. We picked up the toy hauler and loaded our thing in it then headed to homestead FL and set up in an rv park. We spent the next couple of days going to key wesy and the everglades, I even got to take the Harley gator hunting. We moved north and spent a couple of days south of Orlando then headed north again. Today we set up in Clayton GA we are going to spend a week here roaming and riding. I think I may like retirement. Not sure if the pics will load or not.

I was trying to maneuver the bike in the front yard to put on the trailer and I dropped it, nothing happened to the bike but I had to call for help. I finally got it loaded and ready for my week in Hollywood Florida.

If you could trade your Venture straight out even swap for a loaded Goldwing, would you?

While working on Sat I saw a midnight RSV on a trailer on I-10 W being pulled by a Ford F-150 in Jacksonville, then on my next trip about an hour later I saw an RSV with a voyager kit loaded on another trailer being pulled by a white Impala on I-295 N getting off on Commonwealth Ave here in Jax. ON Friday night I saw another RSV on a trailer. Three RSV's, loaded on trailers being pulled by vehicles with Florida tags. A very unusual sight. Unless there is a stolen vehicle ring operating here in town that specializes in Ventures.......

At certain rpm's the antenna on the right side starts to vibrate so loud is sounds like the rear right speaker is blown. There appears to be just enough play in the spring loaded doo-hicky that lifts up to allow the antenna to fold forward it allows vibration. Has anyone had this problem they've fixed without having to changeout the antenna's?

Well, my influence (for good or bad) has rubbed off on my eldest son, Curtiss. He is on spring break from college this week and leaving today to go riding/camping. Curt is taking my 2008 KLR650 which is a reliable machine loaded down with everything he needs. This bike is really a great packmule. He will head out about noon today and is aiming towards Mammoth Cave Nat'l Park. He wants to camp, hike, and just sit around and read (going to school to be a literature professor). I envy him and want to go too. His route today will take him thru central Illinois (Rockford to Normal) and then over into Indiana. Once he gets into Indiana, I expect he will get off the interstate slab. Will likely stay tonight in the Hoosier Nat'l Forest near French Lick. Tomorrow will see him down to Mammoth Cave. I will post a picture of the loaded bike and son once he is ready to go. If he runs into trouble, I may need to rely on the graciousness and support of this family until I can get down to him. While he is 22, he is still my little boy (sure - 6'4" little boy) and I want to protect him the best I can (without him knowing it). I will keep you all up to date. I love my son and am very excited for him to make this trip alone. It will be a great experience for him. Wish him luck. RR

OK I need a car. Tarus is rusting from bottom up. In another year it will be Ugly. Runs great but body is junk. I have found two cars. Retirement check won't go for new one. What I found is; 99 Buick Century only 23k for $6000. Most of the goodies on this one and Buicks are hard to beat for dependabilty. Not sure what size V-6 in this one but they do around 25 MPG from what I know about them. Was going to go for this one because of milage then this caught my eye. 99 Chrysler Concord LXI with 45K. Loaded. Has more goodies than the Buick and I think looks better Warden don't agree. Both have great looking bodies. I don't know much about Chysler dependabilty these days (ran them in 60's when they were Muscle Cars) What kind of MPG could I expect with this one and will it last for a while. I think both of these are real low miles for the year and could last me for a while. WHICH ONE?? http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/inview/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=290785851&dealer_id=57764155&car_year=1999&dealership_view_name=kevinsautosaleswva&address=25113&sort_type=make_modelASC&cardist=5737 http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/inview/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=290635226&dealer_id=57764155&car_year=1999&dealership_view_name=kevinsautosaleswva&address=25113&sort_type=make_modelASC&cardist=5737 One more question. The Tarus is loaded and runs great. Just looking at the body has me fed up with it and it has developed a shimmy at higher speeds lately. It is a 02. What is it worth as trade-in.

Hi all! I took a quick look at an 84 Venture and I think it might be a Royale but it doesn't have any Royale badging. But it is loaded with the Class air ride, factory cruise, rider/passenger comm. stereo w/speakers. So do you think it's a Royale or a loaded standard model? And how would I go about test driving for the worn 2nd gear, just jump on it in 2nd see if it stays in gear? Thanks!

I spent last Saturday at the camp loaded for Bear. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst on Halloween weekend. The norm is local rif raf upsetting bus houses and raising hell. I wanted to make sure my camp was secure plus my first gen,ton truck, and the John Deer is still there. I was setting out on the porch Saturday evening with the Mossberg 500 loaded nearby and my front line defense Venture our 20lb snauzzer and his backup Big Rig his 12 lb sidekick. When all of a sudden here they come. Tresspassers dressed in black and meaning business. Two strangers walking across the lawn on a mission. The dogs raising hell ready for action surrounded those two Mormon Missionairies in short order. I LMAO had to call off the dogs and everything.

And good help is hard to find these days. http://jokemail.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/missing-cat-by-david-thorne/ Ok, the first link I posted had some issues I guess. Incomplete loading and small print. I looked fine last night when I loaded it. But keep the kiddies away from the comments on the bottom of this site. Some people can't enjoy a funny story without having an issue.

Just can't justify (a camouflaged verb for poor and almost broke) the Zumo 665 with all the nice radio, weather, traffic and etc. Is there a simple replacement for my tape deck that will allow me to plug in a USB flash drive thats loaded with my choice BLUEGRASS??? I have been using my MP3 player but the cord and dead batteries are an issue. Just:fishin: for a :dancefool:solution so I can with a :301:Freddie.

Looking for options use on the luggage rack on the trunk for long trips. (Yes, there was a thread about 4 years ago)... I have seen the Cordura Bag by Yamaha made for the trunk, but I can't tell if it is toploaded or side loaded (like a suitcase). Also does anyone have any pictures of their bike LOADED DOWN for trip? Thanks.

In preperation for a ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway I checked the tires. Front tread OK pressure OK. Rear - tread OK (not great, but OK) pressure a little high. 48lbs. End result - the guy behind me was looking for the man with an elephant gun. Blowout at 50 mph. Cord showing in three places and 2\32 tread inbetween. Bike was loaded but didn't feel any out of balance bounce. Tire had 4500 miles on it. DO NOT overinflate Avons.

Some kind of dust storm going on, but take a close look at the pistol in his holster, arent they in a war zone..............I think one would want to carry a loaded pistol at least, at least have a magazine in the gun, but no, they have him carry a pistol without a mag in it.....got to wonder................

We go here at least once every other year. If I were loaded, I would buy a place here to live. Beautiful country!
