Some of you who have been around since the early days will remember Dan Lowery. Dan was one of the original officers when I started the "Venturers" site. I honestly don't remember if he ever joined this site or not but he and I did remain friends over the years. We rode together a couple of times when I lived in Dallas. I got word today that Dan passed away on January 9th which also happened to be his birthday. Dan was a good man and will be missed by those who knew him. Please say a prayer for his family and friends.

Said goodby to the best bike I've ever owned this week. BUT those tears are going to be short lived as I've already have a replacement lined up and will be picking it up next weekend. Larry

Hello: For the first time in my life an immediate family member is close to passing. Hospice has been called in for my 88 year old Father. He has out lived his original liver cancer diagnosis more than one year longer than what was expected. We are so blessed!

It's the 25th Anniversary of Challenger. The loss of 7 lives that we all witnessed. Commander Francis R. Scobee, Pilot Michael J. Smith, Mission Specialists Judith A. Resnik, Ellison S. Onizuka, Ronald E. McNair and Payload Specialists Gregory B. Jarvis and Sharon Christa McAuliffe The last image of them all were there smiling faces as they headed on to the shuttle. We lived in Portsmouth VA at the time I was home with the kid (she was only 2 back then). So do you remember where you were that sad day when you heard or saw it? Margaret

The little red X's that are supposed to be pics. I have never been able to open these. Just lived with it but there is a " BLUE" 84 in our classifieds and I can't see it. With 12k miles??:crying::crying:

We currently have the series "Pacific" on over here and it made me realise once more how lucky we are on this big island that while our boys were away fighting the germans in Europe, U.S. forces "had our back" fighting the japs on Guadalcanal and other places. If they had got to our resources, and cut supply lines for the U.S. fleet.....I would have lived ??? a whole different life! So, from one very grateful aussie....thank you to your fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and any who served. :clap2:

A truck was traveling down the highway at around 1 o'clock in the morning near Tulsa , Oklahoma . Motorcyclist was traveling at ~120mph and ran into the back of the moving semi-truck. Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a 1/4 mile for him to pull over. Anyone know of or have a place for us to stay during the rally in Galveston on Nov. 3? We are going for the weekend and have a place, but it is about 1.5 hrs. from the island. All hotels and B&Bs are booked. don't want to get partying and have to navigate Houston, even on the weekend. (I lived there for 12 years a while back and it is a zoo) Thanks in advance. We only heard about this last week. Head in sand, I guess.
