Filled up the truck last night and was surprised to see the price has dropped below a buck a Litre. Yep! $0.99 / Litre That's like $4.50/Gal Imperial or $3.75/Gal US Last summer we saw prices as high as $1.52/Litre or $6.91/Gal Imperial ... $5.70/Gal US Hope it stays or even drops more.

Just looked at the recent gas prices in most major cities in Canada. We're around $1.24 per litre (that's about $4.70 per US gal) and we're the highest in all of Canada. Most other places are about 10 cents per litre cheaper and even Victoria, which is our next closest major centre, which is across the straight from us is cheaper. Lowest price posted is $1.01 up in Edmonton, Alberta. Now I know the cost of crude is going up and why but there's really something wrong when we Canucks have to pay such a high price, not to mention why Vancouver is so much higher than most of the rest of Canada. Thankfully our vehicles don't run on water coz to buy a litre of that would be outrageous! LOL

I have an '83 VR. My manual says to check the final drive oil level you use the dip-stick. OK if you have a dip-stick. It also says there should be .3 litre in it. That's how I fill it. I pour .3 litre in. The '85 manual says fill to the lip of the filler hole or .2 litre. Well, that can't be right. It'd have to be well over .5 to fill to the lip. Anyhow, if someone has a dip-stick, could you give me the measurements so I can make one. eg, length and distance from the top to the two marks on the bottom. Thanks Jim O'D Australia.
