fuel light came on . I kept riding .20 kms later Needed to switch to reserve. I kept riding . 70kms after that i ran out . Thats ok now i know I have less than 70 kms on reserve. BUT what pee'd me off was the fact I could only get less than 22 liters in the tank . What happened to 23 liters and 3 of reserve making this a 26 liter tank ?

I think I wasted 3 riding seasons on the 02 Nomad we had. This RSV is a much more refined ride. A pleasure in and around towns and stuff. The Nad was a bit of a pig. I always hated the engine noise at slow speeds. I spent a lot of time and effort to get it sorta wind free. Engine guard chaps, wider windscreen, larger lowers. In the end I was wanting a trunk. And then it left me stranded 800 kms from home with a broken tranny. I filled the air shock today. 30 psi. Way nicer handling now. Even with the stock tires. It lifted me in the seat so that I can actually see a little better over the ShowChrome windscreen I installed. It's a bit windy at 150 kph but I don't ride that fast normally Gonna change out the tires here shortly. Need some thoughts on that. How many kms you guys get per tank? I put in 20 liters today @ 276 kms. Isn't the tank 22 liters? There's lots of rpms so I don't believe in wasting them and like to pull hard thru the gears.I get a slight tingle in my feet and hands when I do. Does anyone else get that? It's kinda like a buzz as opposed to a vibration. I also installed a Utopia backrest...God bless the guys who recommended that! It's worth every penny! All in all it was a great ride the missus and I had today. Gerbing jackets are a godsend as well!

Hi, I would like to bring to your attention that in Canada the gas is sold by the liter and the RSV takes 22 liters. To give an example I took a ride with a full tank of gas,and when we pulled in for gas I had put on 284km, the bike took 17 liters which means I had 5 liters left with no reserve light showing yet. I figure that I got 50 miles per Canadian gallon or 6 liters per 100 km.To make it a bit easier I divided 284 km by 17 lts =16.70 is the kilometer liter that I averaged.I grew up with miles & gallons but the government changed things and now we have metric measurements. I am going to give this site to anyone who is going to travel to Canada and you will see how to convert the US gallon to the Canadian or UK " imperial gallon etc.or liters I hope this will help my USA friends. > mobile ps: with the above calculation the RSV should get 350 km on a full tank ! NOTE: It was brought to my attention that the link provided here by Mobile was no longer valid. Here is another that should give you the needed information. http://www.fuelcalculator.info/
