I wondering if anyone has gone through this experience yet. I had to send my Zumo 550 away for replacement a week ago as it decided to stop working after 3 years. The screen touch went crazy. I should have the new refurbished one in the next week. I had purchased a lifetime map subscription last year. My question is whether the map update will transfer to my new Zumo. Do I have to call Garmin to make it happen? I also have the XM radio. I am assuming it will work no problem as the antenna/receiver is a seperate piece. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks JR

Is the Lifetime updates for the device or for the person? What I am checking out is a GPS unit that the owner bought Lifetime updates (not you Bob :-)). If I buy the GPS from that person does the Lifetime updates go with that unit, or stay with the previous owner?

The K&N filter that came with the '91 when I first bought it had a very soggy oil soaked foam seal. The filter cleaned up well, but the seal was toast so I put the it on the shelf. While talking to Rocket I mentioned the bad seal and he told me that K&N would warantee it. Their filters do have a lifetime warantee. So I sent them an Email offering to buy one since I wasn't the original purchaser. They replied and sent me a new seal free of charge. They even picked up the shipping. They now have a lifetime customer...

After 2.5 years of procrastination I bought the GXM30 Antenna to complete my Zumo 550...I installed it and to my surprise XM has a Lifetime subscription like my Sirius does so I bought the Lifetime subscription so I could finish out my Zumo Mods! Now even though I like Sirius better,I just had to get my Zumo completed, glad I did. I thought many times about just getting a cradle for my Sirius receiver but I have too much stuff on the handlebars already. Let the riding begin!
