does anyone have a set of saddlebag lids for a MKII (88). Condition or colour doesn't matter as long as the clamps are good. I want to cut holes in them so the dogs can ride in the saddlebags and stick their heads out as they want. Rattlecan paint will be fine seeing as they may get a bit scratched up anyway. I took the dogs for a ride in the bags already...just had the lids off.....and they seemed to love the ride. My wife and I can just reach down to give them a pat. They seemed to enjoy it , and when they've had enough they just lied down to get out of the wind! They are only about 12-15 lbs each so they fit quite comfortably in the saddlebag along with a blanket on the bottom. For those who may be concerned...we DID have them restrained so they couldn't jump out. We are planning on buying goggles to protect their eyes also.

Hello Everyone: The next add ons that I want to install on my 05 RSTD are Saddle bag gaurds that protect saddle bags themselves and also top rails for the lids. Does anyone have such items, or can provide the Yamaha OEM part numbers for such? Thanks in advance.

I have the luggage available. Nice shape. No cracks. Saddlebags come with lids.

I am thinikng about making a speaker set up in the lids of the saddle bags so I am looking for some broken lids that anyone has and wants to get ride of. I dont want to cut up a good set since I am not sure how I am going to do this just yet. Trial and error I guess.

My six year old son is wanting to ride with me on the 2000 RSV and his legs are not long enough for his feet to reach the floorboards yet. Does anyone know of a bracket to make the floorboards raise up to the saddlebag lids?

Hi all - I am happy to say that I was finally able to go get my "new" 07 RSV (to replace the 05 I crashed back in August). My broken collar bone is healing well, if a bit slow due to the amount of bone overlap. Anyway, the point of this post is to see if someone is interested in swapping trunk lids with me. I really don't like the way the rear trunk wing looks mounted on this bike, so the easiest option would be to swap trunk lids with someone who has a blue 07 and wants what I have. Here are some pictures of my trunk: If you have a stock blue trunk lid, I'd swap it for the discounted price of the rack and wing on mine - $360. That way you get a perfect trunk lid with the rack and wing already mounted for less than you can probably buy the rack and wing alone. For a trunk lid with only the rack installed, I'd swap for $230 (discounted cost of the wing). If you are interested and within a couple of hundred miles of Dallas, Texas, let me know. I don't mind riding to meet you, but shipping the trunk lids somewhere probably does not make much sense.

First i would like to thank everyone who helped with my starting problem. Second to everyone who offered to take it off my hands. If i ride it and don't like it i will let you guy fight for it. The winner gets it for the same price i did free but it must be a fight to the death to be webcast here live or no deal. Now the problem i have is the lids practically need to be pried open to get in. The locks push in and when opened finally the hinges work well. I am afraid i'll rip a top off opening one it takes so much pulling to get it open. Any ideas
