Ok short story is the gentleman that bought my silverwing flew in today to pick it up and ride it to Indiana and then on to Arizona. The plan went as it was supposed to except one thing, he is inexperienced and in ten blocks has already has several mishaps. What do I do now? I am not comfortable in letting him take it on a cross country trip when he cant get it across town!! Legally i cant stop him. But morally it aint right for me to let him go. Any and all help appreciated. Shaun

Muffinman promised to be good and not overstay his welcome. Also wanted to thank you for letting him stay the night at your place. Also wanted to thank Dano for letting us drop off the trailer for Annie at his place. He's gonna move it along towards it's final destination with a bit of help. Margaret

Just wanted to thank everyone for putting up with me this year. My chat buddies for keeping me laughing and company at night. The folks who sent PM's and emails as well. The folks who called just to check up on me. Rocket called every week when he could. ADC (Arthur) for helping me out when I had the water leak. Ruffy and Jean for letting me stay at their place for the Florida meet. Sledgehammer and Rene for letting me visit just for the heck of it as well as the times we all showed up to go to a meet. Blackjack and Janice for letting me stay when picking up and dropping off Muffin in June, as well as taking care of the SS bike while he was gone. Grey Ghost for all the helpful info. The Sleeperhawk's for everything this year. Now for the one person who got stuck with me all year, Riderduke. I spent plenty of weekends at his house with his wife, daughter and David. The fact that Felicia didn't mind me riding with him to all the meets. Also for letting him come down and fix my electrical problem this past year. Can't thank them enough and there are no words to express how much it meant to me. Oh and if you really miss me too much David I'm sure Jeff would loan me to you.:crackup: Now I don't want to get too mushy, but it was a great blessing when Jeff signed up on this site. The friends we've made are truly more like family. Without this bunch this year would have dragged on and been very difficult to get through. Oh and I wasn't that much trouble now was I? So big hugs and kisses to all Margaret

So I call the Yammi Dealer in Baton Rouge (Friendly Yamaha; 10939 Airline Highway) and explain to the Service Manager my situation with the pooched fuel pump. She confirmed my VIN Number and that the scoot was still under Warranty. Trade the pooched pump for a new one and save them a bit of time in labor? Not on your life. The scoot has to be brought in and they have to do everything. I have to wonder if the folks at Yammi who set policy really have the customers best interest at heart when it comes to stuff like this. I have NO intention of trailering the scoot there and letting them do anything. Just gives me a bad case of red a$$ and solidifys my decision to keep my 06 and never buy another new scoot from them..... no matter what upgrades/improvements they come out with on the future Ventures. Boomer....who's really gonna dish out a beating to dem pygmies now.

at last im almost to the point of letting the venture go. i just cant keep up with the work it needs? i dont have the skills to keep her going. and last PO just didnt take of her. she runs ok. but she needs TLC. i got to say she allways got me home. with cost of the bike and stuff i bought im into her for about 4 grand. im thinking of selling it and finding one that is in better shape maybe go to a 1989 or higher. this will not happen till around september though. as im looking at settling a long over due workers comp case. sometimes if ya dont feel safe you got to let her go:crying:

Just found this site and I'm looking forward to diving into the info on here. I just bought an 86 Venture Royale about a month ago and while it is in great shape, I've got some projects for it. I think I'll be able to find some good info. Thanks for letting me in. Mick

First I want to thank Yammer and Patsy for letting us stay with them this weekend. It was great to actually meet Patsy. We had a great time staying with you guys even with that driveway of yours. Next I'd like to thanks Skid & Leslie for putting up with us and torturing them with something being up but not knowing what we were about to do. Next I'd really like to thank Riderduke for letting me hitch a ride this weekend. It was fun. I'll warm my hands up next time. Margaret

I am wanting to add with and length (pull back) to my 07 RSMV. I have risers but would like to have the bars much wider and be able to set back without reaching toward the bars. If anyone has made this change, I wouls appreciate you letting me know how it turned out. Also a part number and where you purchased them if possible

... my god. has anyone tackled this one. I don't even wanna go there without about 30 digital pictures along the way. hell, i could've just been a neurosurgeon or something. seriously, i would appreciate any tips or advise. the only other engine guard i've replace was on a silverado 1100 and i did it in the driveway without even letting the wife know i had a crash. this thing is INTEGRATED with hoses, wires, moldings, etc, etc, etc... unbelievable. I guess that'll teach me to lay it down huh!!!!
