I was riding through town when a blond in a big black SUV pulled out of a side road. She turned left and I thought she would pull in behind me. Instead she came across the road directly at me, she was still looking left. She would have hit me if I hadn't leaned on the horn. Instead of stopping or going behind me she drove all the way down the block beside me on the wrong side of the road. New one on me.

Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She* *writes: Dear Grand-son, The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker .. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting.. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! **There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air.. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!! Hello-I have a slow speed wobble in my 01 Royal Star Venure when backing off throttle with one hand on handle bars----not noticeable on acceleration. Not really apparent at higher speeds. First noticed when I leaned over to shut off choke and backed off throttle. Have set air pressure in shocks correctly. Not sure. Bob

We got home from picking up the 07 Tour Deluxe I purchased. I didn't ride it home due to some sinus junk but had an opportunity to zip around town a bit tonight. I am surprised at how much lighter it is than my Ventures. I can see myself riding in town more than before. I haven't had it on a road so I can't compare. I need to get a new left side lower as he leaned the bike up against something and took a chunck out of the lower. If you see a black one on Ebay that matches an 07 please let me know. Other than that the bike is like new with 1200 miles and warranty good through September of 2014!

O.K................Somebody has say it! I Dropped My Bike At Vogel!!! I was parked across from Dragonrider's cabin and any of you that parked there know that to leave that area, you have to go up a small incline and immediately turn on to the road. In my case it was to the left to head to my campsite. I started the bike, puy it into 1st; I accelerated the engine, slid the clutch out, and leaned just a little to my left to start the turn. Then the bike jumped into Neutral! Since I was already leaned over for the turn and now had no thrust, all I could do was gently lay it on it's side. Now, the reason that I bring this up is to relate something that we do at another club that I ride with: 1. If you drop your bike, you put $5 in the kitty. 2. If you crash your bike, you put in $10. The difference is 5mph; under 5 it's a drop, over 5mph, it's a crash! I think that this is something that might be a fun way to help out with the expenses/prize kitty for VentureRider.org! I just hit the "Donations" button on the top right side of the VR.O Toolbar, and donated $5.00 to the site. So anybody else want to admit to dropping thier bike this weekend? I know that I'm not the only one!
