Yesterday I got ambitous after I got home from work, and went to working on the Venture out in the shop. I have ow got all the engine covers in place, shift linkage installed, carbs mounted and hooked up to the cables. One question, I am getting rid of the Yics chamber. I didnt have any vacum caps to put on the tubes coming out of the engine. I just the rubber hoses down and used them to cap of the tubes by connecting them to the one next to it. I read a post here somewhere where someone else did the same thing, my question is should the be connected to the cyl beside it or the opposing cyl. or does it really matter. Also I cant find the wire leads where the neutral swithch and the oil pressure/level wire plugs in to the system, where can I find the leads that they plug into..................I have looked and looked but cant find them and dont remember where they should be.:confused24:

My passing lights have quit working. I split the fairing to check it out and found that the switch , fuse and wiring are all ok. I pulled the the 2 + leads from the double bullet connector going to the lamps and checked voltage, I have 11.7v at that point. When I plug the 2 + leads back into the double bullet connector my voltage goes to 0.0v It is not blowing fuses. I have played with the wires going into the light bar and it still won'n light. Why would my voltage drop to 0 when I plug in those two + leads but not blow a fuse?

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere here many times, but when I 'searched' nothing jumped out. On my 89, I'm in the process of changing my alternator stator (and my starter drive clutch, and my rear wheel bearings and my....). I think that the last time I did it (on my 83) I sealed the leads in the grommet and the grommet in the case with RTV. Is there anything better to use, or does everybody still use RTV? Thanks, Frank

Hi, I want to replace the H.T. leads to the spark plugs on my '84. What do I need to ask for at my local auto parts counter? I notice that one local supplier (not usually my first chioce) has a selection of pre-made NGK wires on the shelf. Is there a ready made NGK part that would be a good choice? Prices across the range he had were about $22 Cdn / wire. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks, Brian H.

I saw a very cool trunk fairing lightbar the other day. Wondered if anyone has any leads on who makes or sells them. I've attached a pic. Thanks.

Okay, I got my tax refund and there's probably enough left over to pick-up a DK3 for my '07 Venture. Anyone have any good leads on where I can find the best price for one? Thanks! Pete.
