Got the brake light fixed and time for "road test". Called RandyA and ask him if his purple beast didn't look lonely sitting out in the garage. So arrangements were made and I was out the door and gone. Great weather, no place to be and no time to be there. How much better can life be! Thanks Randy for leading the way. Wiping the grin from my face my take more than Plexus !! SGN Just had to share, now please somebody pass the biscuits ....

My continuing project is now complete. I built a long travel leading link front suspension just to see if I could. Bought a milling machine to make the parts and spent lots of time learning to machine steel and figure out how to make the necessary parts. Just finished my test run down the road and I'm still alive! The front wheel is moved ahead 4 inches to shorten the trail so the handling is quite good. Cannot think of anything else to do - so I guess it is done!

Just wondering if any of you live close to the Lexington, KY horse farm area. We rode with a group to that area about 5-6 years ago and just cruised some of the back roads and took in the beautiful horse farms (with barns that put most mansions to shame!). We also toured the Keeneland (?) race track. Anyway, I'm thinking of putting together a little ride for some friends (and anyone else who would want to meet up) this spring back to that area. When I was there before someone else was leading and I basically paid no attention to the routes we took. Anyone have any suggestions of roads/routes that we just shouldn't miss? Any other things we should see while we're there? Thanks, Joe

I just wondered how many people with sidecars on their Ventures have fitted leading links. My steering has been mostly light enough on my outfit with a double adult sidecar has been easy enough, even with a big trailer in tow, but on very long tours it's tiring and I'm not getting any younger. I've had leading links on other outfits and it makes for a much easier ride, as well as lighter steering, but at the expense of a handlebar heavier wobble at THAT speed. You don't get anything for nothing, but who else has kept with the standard forks and who has gone with links ?

I changed out my stock air filters today with K&N's. When I took off the right side (looking at bike from front I found about 1/2 teaspoon of oil in rubber hose leading to filter case. Is this normal or should I be looking for dealer? Thanks, Ride safe and God Bless. Mike
