Usually I don't post anything unless it's bike related, but I'd certainly like to get some real time feedback on something that's been rearing it's ugly head for over a year now. According to the Doc I am suffering from Iron Anemia... or lack the stuff in the system. The end result is I have low hemoglobin (red blood cells), and lately can't even mow the lawn without getting short of breath. I feel great as long as I don't move around much... I was actually experiencing symptoms when at Cody, and the altitude didn't help much either. Just wondering if anyone else has gone thru this and the outcome??

I have a ride on lawn mower in the backyard that I have been thinking of making into a go kart. I don't know the first thing about go karts but I would like to turn this into a father son project. I would like to start a photo album of the build. keeping track of what I spend and materials I use. I need help does anyone have any ideas.? since it is a mowee its it's pretty high I would like to lower the seating position but then will have to change the steering amgle.I will attach a photo when I get home . any ideas or links to website will be helpful

I know for the most part snow is an unwelcome sight and dreaded. But....It's the 16th of January and we could still see our lawn, not spots or parts but the entire lawn, flower beds etc... For those of us who live in the desert areas, snow is a necessity in order to have water during the rest of the year, so, today the snow came. I had to put the bikes in their winter spots in the garage so I could fit both cars in the garage and I actually used the snow blower (I started it in Nov. to make sure it was running and ready) But for a short time, I welcome the snow to the Intermountain region and look forward to the spring. The lens ring on the rear right hand turn signal split and the eyebrow popped off onto the front lawn. Must have happened when putting on the cover?? Anyway the GK was mowing the lawn this morning and the mower ate the eyebrow... Not a pretty sight... Lawnmower kill?? Looked up the parts numbers and it looks like they sell the turn signal eyebrows as a set. Not real expensive, but I only need the one. Probably the same for both rear blinkers. The ring is a little more expensive... plastic of course.... guess that's why?? The part number for the ring is 42X-83363-00-00 and the eyebrow set is STR-4NK58-30-00.... at least I hope it's a set. Anyone have an extra ring and brow laying around they no longer need??

From the various comments on maintaing the fuel systems on our bikes, you guys make Sea-Foam seem like the 'Hadicol' (sp) of the 50s. If it is that great, have you ever used it to clean out your lawn mower (push type, not riding) in the spring time?

I had pulled my poor old 83 Venture out on this bright sunny Monday (holiday in Canada), and gave her a thorough once-over : check the plugs for sootiness/too clean, any leaks, all fluid levels, air pressures, etc. My bride offers to cut the lawn if I can watch our 2 darling girls (ages 4 & 2) for the time. I say no problem (her having cut the lawn in... ummm, never). The girls and I play happily in the back yard, when I hear a "GGggrrrrunnnch" followed quickly by a "whack". The result is posted in the picture. I believe she hit a pine cone with the lawn mowver, which promptly decided to launch it full speed with significant rotational velocity towards my bike. Ugggh. I know it need some touching up anyways, but did she have to hit the one panel that was fine ?

haven't had any phone serv,till yesterday afternoon as sume of you know,laura's[mrs wild hair] mother road out the storm,in galveston,she was evac, we finly found her,late friday,she was evac to port san antonio,all is well but she thanks that they will be,back in galveston shortly,but all the news from down ther don't suport that guess she is as hard headed,as mrs wild hair,sumetimes two lawn mower fixed,hay field knock down[any of you,inventer,should thank about a small hay bailer]there is enough hay to feed her little horses,for a year all is well,no damage from the store,haven't been onthe voy,this week,more round-to-its to do,oh fore got the honey dos lowell PS shes gone:fishin:

Marcarl and Wizard765 came down for a visit and to help out today in spite of the rain. We had a wonderful afternoon of friendship and actually got a few things done around herre as well! Had a great lunch, and then knocked a couple more things off one Honeydoo list! I also want to thank JGorom for coming down to install the window AC units the week I was in the Hospital, one of the hottest weeks of the season. Many thanks, James, you are a true friend. Also a big Thank You to Big Tom for coming down last weekend and changing the blade on my lawn mower as well as getting the lawn mowed! You're #1 Tom! And of course thanks Carl and Wayne for sharing the day, it means so very much. Keep on coming over, folks, you don't have to do any work, just spend some time and help pass the day. I'm stuck here for a couple of months most likely...
