just throwing this out there, it's not official yet. how many would be interested in meeting at probass in springfield, mo on sat. jan. 30, 2010? then we will proceed to lamberts to eat. we will meet at probass at 11 am. if we have a major snow and road conditions are bad we will change the date. bill

Hey Cinderella and Wrongway and everyone else thinking of Lamberts on their way to the 2009 Rally- Are you still planning to meet up at Lamberts for lunch on Sunday? As you know NEWTrk and I can't be at the Hub this year thanks to our daughter making wedding plans and expecting us to be there, but thought that we could meet up with you at Lamberts on Sunday if it's still in your plans. Let us know if you are still planning of the 12:30 - 1PM timeframe and we'll see you there. BTW we also have some raffle prizes to donate and this would save us the cost of mailing them.

Just to put this out there. We are leaving St. Louis area Sunday morning to get to the Hub. Takes about 5 hours according to mapquest. We do plan on going through Springfield, Mo. and stopping at Lamberts on the way for lunch (Mmmmmm Lamberts ). If anyone wants to come by the house Saturday and ride with us, or meet us along the way, let me know. See you there.

My wife and I rode 310 miles to get dinner tonight. We rode from Lexington to Sikeston, MO to have dinner at Lambert's Cafe and we were not dissapointed. Rolls were flying everwhere and we caught a few before our meal arrived. The pot roast was excellent and much more than I was able to eat. I'll have to skip breakfast in the morning but it was well worth the trip. Attached is a photo of the giant roll. Here are the pics I took yesterday........ We all met at Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo and then went over to Lamberts to Eat for those not familiar with lamberts.....they have some awesome food....and are known for their throwed rolls.....meaning they throw them to you..they come out inthe dining area straight from the oven and the guys throw them to you....so you have to catch your rolls to eat them.....they are so good.... You pick a main course from the menu...prime rib, ribeye, chicken, etc.....you get 2 sides ( vegetables ) with it......then they come around to the tables with big pans of fried okra, fried potatoes, mac and tomatoes, black eyed peas and the rolls....all you want............that also means all you want of your main dish......if you can eat 3 steaks..you get 3 steaks..... you do not leave hungry...... okay ,i am starting the count on who all is planning on attending the pro bass meet & eat in springfield ,mo. saturday, jan 24th, 2009. we will meet at pro bass at noon, and then head for lamberts to eat. linda and i will be there early so we can look around probass for an hour or so. for any one who has never been there it is an awesome place to see. so you may want to get there an hour early. lamberts is a really neat restaurant with good food and lots of it. you won't leave hungry. motorcycles are optional. we are going to cage it. if you plan on being there post it on this thread. this is a good chance to get out of town and let your hair down, for a really great time. bill
