Time to replace those brickstones that came on my TD. Anyone near the Iowa City area have the equipment and knowledge to mount a new set or is the dealership my only option around here?

Hi all, thanks for letting me post. Bought a 99 royal star venture couple months ago. always had a little problem being "cold natured". Since it's cold, I decided to change oil, etc. and try to chase down problem with starting. It is getting worse. I have run battery down several times. Here is what I know: New plugs, getting plenty fuel, good compression, good battery, everything else seems in order. Pulled rear new plugs and no fire/spark. No loose connections at coils. When bought, key was bent slightly, straightened that out, but ignition never felt correct. Also, it's getting worse as I said, now it wont start at all. Thank you for any help in advance. I am limited on technical knowledge.

A couple of my shipmates and I are trying to put together a reunion for our first ship which we commissioned and I was wondering if amongst the vast knowledge on this site anyone may have some advice. We have have a Facebook page and a website so we have at least started. http://www.facebook.com/pages/USS-Wasp-Plankowners-Reunion/241902085834515 http://sites.google.com/site/waspreunion/

To my knowledge, my cooling fan has never activated. Is it just not getting hot enough or is there a malfuntion? How can you test it? Thanks

I guess I missed Maintenance day in March. I wasn't watching the sight much then. Are there plans for another one in this area. If so when. I don't have much knowledge, But I have a large property and would be willing to have it at my house. (Lake Conroe)

Here is a link I saved a while back on my computer, that you GW owners may find very useful.. If you read this document from beginning to end, you will expand your personal knowledge of what your GW really has to offer and where it is located. Hope you find it helpful. Thanks to the excellent instructions that Ponch provided with the set of gauges he sent me, I was able to successfully get them installed this weekend. I still need to finish getting everything together, but I did get the bike started and was able to test for leaks. I would have never attempted this mod without the encouragement and knowledge I receive here. This was a big job for me. I think the chrome looks great against the unique color of the millenium. Thanks again Ponch!

I am doing some upgrades to my golfcart and am trying to figure out the best "coating" for the plastic body. I'm leaning toward the spray on coatings like Rhino or line-x. Has anyone here ever done this or have any knowledge about it. I really wanted to do it myself but am just not sure about it. Thanks,

Well, i'm looking at my 08 Venture with 5k miles on it and saying it's to soon for a carb sync, it doesn't seem to run bad. But i'm going on a trip in a few weeks and it would be nice to at least check it. So i call around the local Stealers and they want $125 and up to perform this operation. Some told me I have to leave it overnight. It was then I decided I would buy the tool and attempt to do it myself. When the carb tool arrived, I read the instructions ( imagine that ) assembled the unit with all the hoses and was ready to go. I next asked for help from this forum, the information a got was very descriptive and made the job soooooo easy. The pictures and explanation was right on the money. The only way it could have been easier is if one of you came to my house and made the adjustments for me! This is a wealth of knowledge on this sight and i'm proud to be a part of it. Well it turnes out, my carbs were way out of sync. 1&2 werent even close and both banks were out from each other. I never would have thought a new bike with 5k on it needed a carb sync. I thought this thing ran great before, now it's a freekin rocket!! I want to thank you guys again for all the great information that enabled me to do this carb sync myself. I saved a bunch of money, I now own the tool, and the knowledge to do it myself!! Have a safe summer, and thanks again. Frank
