Headed to Larry's (Carbon_One) on Sunday leaving Kitchener about 7am and probably cross at Sarnia then head down to Larry's. Getting the passenger arm rests for my RSV. Going thru Windsor/Detroit only saves about 20 minutes according to MapQuest, thinking Sarnia might be easier to cross at. Coming back same day so will be a quick trip... but should be a nice ride.

We'll be heading out in a wee bit, pick up ibents and Pat, and off we go to Kitchener to add inches to the waistline, lbs. to the overall mass, and bend the ears of probably far too few who don't want to hear far too much from myself and Beth. Add to this that Carl is running the show...and look out! We're gonna have a party in Bongobob's room before the great event...or maybe that is the great event? Who knows? It's great to get together with everyone, new friends and old, older in Carl's case..lol! Looking forward to the great event, it'll be a great one, as all of Carl organized doooooooos are! gunk:shock3:

So if folks want to come along. We are planning an all day ride starting in Kitchener and going to Muskoka. If you were at the international in Kitchener it would be very similar to the ride we did then. Just nailing down the particulars.. like where to meet. Should be on the road by 8:30 so meet at 8:00 to get organized. Anyone Interested?? Wayne

gents.... does anyone have a spare vent 3"X7" approx, that goes by your knee under the little leather pouch,( right side, 88 VR)..... mine blew off on the highway, on my way to the Kitchener rally, and have not had the time to find one yet.... so I thought I would try this first... thanks in advance JOHN -
Well I have to say I had a great time with great people . The Boys and Girls of the Kitchener area did a great job. I have to say I have never laughed so hard in ages ...thanks to Hal ...and yes you folks have to ask for pictures ...You'll know why I was laughing so dam hard. This is one for my favorite area's to ride in ...and if you didn't make it you missed out you missed out on some great riding and most of all the great people that show up at these meets. All I have to say is Thanks Reiny and Gang!!

just a thank you to all at the Rally in Kitchener, my first...... hope it didn't show too much..... riding in formation!!! been riding for 40 years, and because of the remote location, usually alone or with 3 or 4 other riders..... never 60 bikes ( or there abouts). want to thank the organizers, and hope to see some of you again at the next one, the wife and I ( and the white Poodle) do not do well on long rides, but with enough notice ,we can arrange holidays and do it in 2 days or so.......BIKER JOHN51 or GRUMPY_BEAR

looking for the air grill on the right side, under the leather pouch on an 88 VR, about 3"X7" ,I'm Guessing......... mine blew off on the way to the Kitchener Rally...... bummer.... any help locating one would be appreciated..... if in Ontario Canada, I will ride to come and pick it up...............thanks JOHN

Hello everyone who attended the Kitchener Rally. As a new member I really felt welcomed into the group and only wished I would have been able to stay for the whole rally. I lost my passenger push to talk button either on my way out to the Wednesday dinner from Toronto or possible in the parking lot or on the way home. A shot in the dark here just in case someone may have seen the black knob in the parking lot before we all left the Restaurant. The 401 was heavy with construction, so I am sure it probable fell off while I was going over all that uneven pavement. -

How much air should I have in my rear shock for riding 2 up and loaded for bear.We are leaving for Kitchener Friday morning about 9am.I now have 14.5lbs in the rear. Bucky:thumbsup:

Ladies, gentleman, boys & girls. As you probably know by now, at the 2008 VentureRider rally in Kitchener in a few weeks, we are holding a "wrap-up" dinner Wednesday night. This is Wednesday July 9th and is a buffet of great German food being held at the Transylvania Club in Kitchener. If people who are not registered for the rally wish to come (presumably locals) to this wrap-up dinner, they can but we need to know ahead of time, as we need to give the Transylvania Club some definite numbers so they know how much food to prep. If you want to come to this buffet, it is $25.00, which can be paid at the door. The meal includes everything, including coffee and dessert. If you are NOT registered for the rally but want to come to this wrap-up dinner, let me know here now please.

heading off to KITCHENER, this week,would like to know how the roads are up thru the flooded area,weather i should go around that area,you know how my plans are,FIXED IN SANDSTONE,only have two places i need to be,KITCHENER,AND ISHPEMING,will vist along the way,will be riding my teal blue voyager,with a gorilla,watching my BACK,CB will be on ch 29,all waves will be a hard fist,above the wind sheld,will be loaded with tent,chair,sleeping bag,water jug,OH and me,no need to entertain me just a short vist,a cup,i'll be on my way,hav about 60 of you in my GPS see you'll in kitchener

Alright, I finally have enough information to make it worth posting. The location of the 2008 is Bingeman Park, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and can be seen on the web at http://www.bingemans.com. Phone is (519) 744-1002 or (800) 565-4631. There are campsites, trailer/camper sites and cabins which sleep up to four people. The tent sites can accomodate up to 6 people per site and are $31.00 - $37.50/site depending on whether or not you want electrical hookup, no matter how many people up to six. The cabins are $65.00 per night up to four people, bring your own bedding. When you book with them, make sure you tell them that you are there attending the 2008 International VentureRider Rally as we have blocked off a certain section of sites and cabins so we can be together. Below is information on local motels, most are very close (within 5 minutes) of Bingemans. There are more expensive fancier motels is anyone wants that, contact me and I'll give you that info. Kitchener is about 2 hours from the Fort Erie/Buffalo border and about 3-3.5 hours from the Windsor/Detroit border.
