Passanger intercom/radio connection
SMSgt posted a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I saw a picture of an RSV showing the passenger intercom recepticle up on the back of the drivers back rest. I would like do that to mine. Has anyone seen that or made that mod? Can anyone offer me any suggestions? I know it will take some kind of wiring work under the left rear armrest but I can't even get that off. Thanks Kent -
Just an update on my 02 Midnight that was running poorly, the seafoam treaments, new plugs, fuel filter, etc... as a lot of you recommended:happy34: all helped but it ended up being exactly what V7GOOSE had told me to expect, a complete carb cleaning and resetting. And talk about a different bike after Kent walked me thru the process and showed me where the problems were and corrected them . And I am ashamed to admit that due to some problems encountered enroute to Kent's place, I showed up with an empty cooler, :sign **** happens:and , but that will be corrected in the future:beersign:. Thanks a ton Kent, job well done. Now if anyone would be interested in trading their pillow top seats for my studded Midnight ones in excellent shape, just send me a pm. , Bigdog .

They make it to El Paso on Sunday. Monday it takes all morning to find a rear tire. In the afernoon we tour El Paso area. From Sacramento we get a new tire overnighted. None in El Paso. Then today Tuesday, what a day! The overnighted tire was coming in UPS, but we had to go search down the driver to get it. Got it mounted by 2:30 pm and we were on the road. Kent and Tom (brothers) still wanted to take the border route out of El Paso. About 3:45 on a very rural road 60 miles from El Paso the brand new rear Dunlop Elite 3 blew out on Tom's 07 Venture. Bike and trailer does 2 swerves then into the ditch avoiding a sign post and electric pole. Kent and I (Chuck) turned around, had to go back 1/2 mile to Tom. Tom had jumped off at the very last second to avoid a guy wire angling down from the electric pole. Bike split the 1" wire! It is totaled, tank and crash bars are badly bent. Wrecker made it worse, but who cares? We called for a wrecker but the EMS, County Sheriff, 2 border patrols, a few passing cars, and state police show up slowly. 3 hours later the wrecker has the bike out of the ditch. Tom is scratched up on on his hands the worst. badly sore all over. Family called. Glad we could help. Several good fortunes, going slow, soft dirt, jumping off, good help, strong bike, Kent & I can help Tom, and much more. We all returned back to El Paso by 7:30 pm. More later.

OK folks, there are two actually two new moderators that I wish to announce. One has been a moderator for a while but I don't know if I ever officially announced it or not. Eck was made a moderator back when he started the VentureRider Parts Exchange Program. That give him the ability to edit and maintain that forum area and also to help out with any moderation duties site wide. I truly respect his dedication and efforts and am very happy to have him as a moderator. Today I have added one other moderator. Please welcome V7Goose as our latest victim. Kent has actually been added as an Administrator. How does this differ from a moderator? It gives Kent access to the templates and etc. that are used on the site which is where much of the custom programming and etc. takes place. Kent has a background in programming and some server management experience so can hopefully help when I am having any issues with database errors, server configurations, etc. In addition to that, he is on the site a lot and is always willing to help with any technical issues regarding the motorcycles and has a good head on his shoulders if any actual moderation duties are necessary. I hope you will join me in welcoming both of these gentlemen to our team. This site takes very little moderation and there are often weeks at a time where we don't even communicate with each other. These guys are here more to help our members with any questions about the site than they are to actually moderate so please feel free to contact any of them should you have a question. For those who may not even know, our Admins and Moderators at VentureRider.org are: Admins Freebird V7Goose Moderators Squidley Black Owl Buddyrich Eck
