So a man was on a roof, and jumped off. Where was he when he jumped?

For those members staying at the Ponderosa it's important that you tell them you're with the Venture Rider Group when checking in... as if it wouldn't be obvious .... Anyway they have agree'd to give us a rate less than their normal summer rates. When we first announced the Rally, way back last year, members in the know jumped on the cabins before we could talk to the Ponderosa about a rate like we had in '09. We just assumed that it would be biz as usual. Not!! We dropped the ball, but thanks to Kurt (Starstruk) the problem has been resolved. Just remember to tell them you Ride a Venture....

In my dark storage area I cross jumped my 2003 Midnight Venture. The main fuse blew the instant I touched the terminal. I changed the 30A fuse and installed a new battery.I now have no audio at all not even a display. Now my clock and trip meters work only when the ignition is on. When I stop and restart the engine the trips are at zero and the clock is at 12:00. The audio doesn't work with the key in any position, I can't find any bad fuses. I'm so bummed I can't blame somebody for my carelessness. This is my third Venture '88, '99, '03, I feel so guilty, I've hurt the best scooter I've ever had. Thanks for any help, David

Tried to go for a ride today--No luck---battery was dead---I jumped it and rode for 30 minutes then turned her off--nothing on the restart attempt but a slow Grrrrr then tick- tick:doh:---I have only had the bike for about 2 weeks but the previous owner gave me paperwork showing that he had replaced Battery-starter-stator all in November of last year.........I jumped it off again and while it was running I removed the ground cable--she kept on running--also the voltage meter shows it is charging just fine......think I just got a Bad "new" battery?---............................Larry

Hey guys, I talked Rickster in putting on a m&e and a ride and just checked the calendar and only 4 people responded that they will attend. I know the weather has not been the best lately , but 4 members reply. Come on New Yorkers, The Rickster jumped in to get his feet wet and we can't show a newbie our support ?....check out his ride and m&e in the meet and eat forum and lets show the RICKSTER the strength of our group.

I just paid a guy $400 for his 83 Royale with 59,000 miles on it. He wanted $500 - offered him $400 and he jumped on it! I was going to offer less but we jumped it and it started right up. He said the clutch needed bled but wasn't sure. The seat has duct tape - rust on some of the chrome - could use a paint job (son does body work) - but has newer tires and seems to run good. He said 2nd gear just started to act up. Anyway - I figure for the money - it is good entertainment!

The other day while riding my 85 back from work i noticed a group of about 15 harley's about to pull up to the same intersetion as me. If you're going to take a right turn on that intersection there is actually a lane that lets you go about 30mph through it. I was following them and i guess the whole group decided to kick her in the rear so i though, yeah, i'll catch up with these big boys! Well i started taking off, and brought her about 6K RPMs and shifted into 2nd. Then up to third and as i was accelerating up the clutch slipped. We recently had the clutch cylinder fixed so i thought that it wouldn't do it anymore. Well in 3rd the bike jumped from about 3K to 6K without even accelorating. We have decided i need new clutch plates, but you know its always embarrasing to say you couldn't keep up with harley riders. Well, does anyone know how much it would take to buy some of those? Just wonderin, because i hope their not expensive

I have been watching one of the Mark's exhaust collectors for a few days and it was staying pretty low. I came back on a few minutes ago and it had jumped to $78 with less than five minutes to go. I decided to bid about $100 on it and went back to refresh with about a minute to go and it jumped to $128. In the last thirty seconds it jumped to $202.50. Randy A
