I just ordered a Gribling battery powered vest that is 7v. and it comes with a charger that looks like a cig. liter plug. There is a plugin in the fairing, does it have ennouth juice to charge the battery for the vest? If not will a bigger fuse work or will I have to rewire it? tew47

Just got back from a 1350 mi road trip pulling my trailer and girl ? Had to use 4 gear most of the time. Overdrive is way to tall with a load. I have a 96 just seems to need a little more juice. It runs great but another 20 hp would be nice.

I've installed a new battery on my Royal Venture 2006, after 2 weeks without using the motorcycle, there was not enough juice to start the machine, I went to the battery merchant who assured me the battery was good but still gave me a new one. I had the same problem again , back from a 2 weeks vacation the battery was dead. Not even enough juice to light anything. When it happended the first time I went to the Yamaha dealer who checked the battery and poles etc.... he told me the only juice the battery was pulling was from the clock which pulls 0.005 amp I wonder what is pulling the juice out so it won't start after 2 weeks witout using the motorcycle. Please help Thanks in advance Jacopo

Hey guys... I bought my bike on ebay and I'm going to pick it up in 2 weeks... wondering about 12v DC "cigarette" ports... Does my bike have any or will I need to install for my GPS to get juice? Sorry about the silly Q, I haven't even seen the bike in real life yet!!!

I went out to ride today. Started the 04 up and pulled it out of the gararge to load up. She started just fine. Battery is less than one year old and is kept on a battery tender. Loaded GPS and everything up then went to start it but nothing happened. No juice, no nothing. The GPS works fine and is getting power to it. Not a mechanic here so all I did was take the seat off and check the battery connections and they are fine. And the kill switch is not the problem either. Any thoughts?

Went to start the bike this morning and wouldn't you know it--completely dead, not even a dash light. I took the battery to a battery shop and they tested it....only 5 volts. They put it on a charger for a few hours and when I picked it up later it was fully charged. They told me the battery was good and something must be drawing. I re-installed the battery and checked all the circuitry and everything was okay except I found that the cd changer was drawing juice. This is the cd changer made for this bike.I can't figure out why it's doing this now. Never had a problem with it before. I have noticed that when the 6-pack is installed, I can hear it go through the motions whenever I turn the ignition on, even though the audio system is off. I just figured this was normal. Everything is hooked up as it should be and runs as it should, but why is it constantly sucking juice. It stops as soon as I disconnect the C-bus cable. When I connect it back up, it starts to draw power again even with the ignition switch off. Can anybody help with this one? P.S. I should mention this is still my original battery (2004) Also, ever since the bike was new, there's alot of clicking (1-2 sec.) whenever I turn the ignition on first thing in the morning. Is this normal? I'd appreciate any and all advice. Thanks so much.
