a few weeks ago a friend of ours who has/had a 2000 zuki 800 intruder decided to sell. Deb was talking to her friend when she mentioned it was for sale and a couple potential buyers were looking. we talked and then made a higher offer that was comfortable for both us and our friend. she knew we like the bike and we were the highest bid - so the deal was struck. Debbie has an Intruder and I have the RSV. I put in a new battery and drained the tank. put in fresh gas w/sea foam and it cranked right up and I went for a ride. it is cold natured but it is a fun bike. It feels like a toy after riding the RSV, but it is responsive and fun. I scraped the left peg - I did not realize I was that far over but it was fun. we are the 2nd owners and we just hit the 5 thousand mile mark on it.

I have been riding a Suzuki Intruder vs1400 for years but thinking about the Venture because it has 4 cylinders and 1300cc in a cruiser format (seems about ideal to me) Can anybody compare the two bikes please ?? I have read the tech specs of Venture about weight, seat height, etc But advertisements don't mention other things like long distance comfort acceleration and top end handling in twisties gas mileage in various conditions etc I have found my vs1400 to be pretty much bullet proof so parts failure and maintenance are important to me thanks, Bob

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRIKE-Intruder-wheeleez-trike-unit-CUSTOM-/250788136139?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item3a642344cb Saw this bike for sale on eBay, with a Wheeleez third wheel on it. Was fascinated by the 3rd wheel and how it worked, but also was not expecting in the video to see that the Intruder 1500 had a reverse gear. Pretty cool! The video sound quality is really goofy, but it's a very interesting customized bike. I am helping a friend whose husband died last year (riding his Goldwing) to sell his "other" bike - - a 1991 750 Intruder - - and was scanning eBay to see if any were for sale and what they were going for. Didn't find any, so if you have any insight into these things, I'd appreciate the feedback. It's in good shape and has 37,402 miles on it. Just about 100% stock. KBB says it's worth about $1,200 in trade, so I'm guessing it might be worth $1,600-$1,800 in a private sale. I'll post pics next week after I get it to my place.

I'm not familiar with Yamahas or Ventures at all, but I may be going to look at a used '84 royale within the next few days. It has about 60,000 miles on it. Is there somethings in general or specifically I should be looking for at this bike. I guess to me, the miles are ok, it's the age I would be worried about. How have these bikes held up overtime, what kind of maintenance should I expect to have to do, are parts NOS or aftermarket and accessories still available? Just not sure what to expect I guess, and don't want to end up with a money pit. A little history about me, started riding in the early 90's on a 800 Intruder, quickly went to a gl1500 aspencade that we loved. Had kids and sold it, & haven't ridden in about 10yrs. Just looking for something comfortable to ride to work and some touring with me and my wife on weekends. Thank you so much for your help, Dan.

Bubba and Mamma will be pulling out of Roanoke VA on Sep 5th or 6th for a short ride to Los Angeles, CA to visit our daughter, a USC student. I will be piloting my 04 RSV w/ piggybacker XL, my wife is choosing to ride on her own VS700 Intruder. Been going crazy all my spare time for last three weeks. Fresh E3's on the Venture, fresh D404's on her much lighter Intruder, Fresh plugs, oil, carbtunes on both, new fork seals in the intruder. Packed tools and spare parts tonite, including bearings and seals for the piggy. We will be following mostly I-40 going out, seeing Cross Ministries, Cadillac Ranch, Grand canyon, Rt 66, and the Wigwam Motel. Coming back thru Vegas, Denver, Badlands, meeting up with an FJR rider in Mission SD on Sep 19 for the ride home. The only way we can afford this trip is camping. Suggestions on free/cheap camping??? We have picked up a National Parks annual pass. So, more to come if anybody interested. Guess I need to learn to post pics.

Hello everyone. Just purchased a 99 Venture on Sat Oct. 20th with only 2,500 miles from the original owner. Yes that is the correct mileage. It is Bordeaux Red / Silver. It is replacing my first motorcycle, a 1993 Suzuki Intruder 1400 (I refer to as the poor man's Harley). I have been looking for a Venture for a while and the price and condition was right on this one. The ride is unbelievable and I look forward to clocking many of miles. Hope to see some of you guys around. P.S. If anyone is interested in a Suzuki Intruder 1400, I have one for sale.
