hey everyone I am looking for a new bike for next summer and the venture is really looking good from all of the research I have done on this bike. I am thinking about getting one between 06-08. Can you guys put in some inputs on the bike. EXAMPLES: Like is it smoothing riding. Plenty of power for 2 people. how well it steers. Does it have high rpms at highway speed like 75mph. Stuff like that, And things you like about the bike and things you don't like about the bike. Thanks

On my '89 VR I want to replace the radio with an after market model. It is the Jensen model HD5112. I want to hook it up to play thru the speakers and also the headsets. Any ideas? Should I cut off the 5 pin wire from the factory radio and splice it to the aftermarket one and play it thru the amp? Will this get the sound thru the headsets? This radio has inputs for MP3, wma, USB, SD Card, ipod and sat. radio. I really want to use this radio. Any help will be appreciated. Chuckles

I am working on my master's thesis. Basically I am designing a fuel injection system for my Suzuki Dr650. It does not have to be super sophisticated, but I would like to program a microcontroller well enough to actually build the system. However, I am a powertrain/mechanical engineer by education, so programming is a black voodoo cult art to me. I know it's not hard, but I just don't have the key piece of information to be able to do it yet. So, I have an HC6811 microcontroller and I would like to program this thing to accept a couple of inputs (wide band O2, mass air, temp, crank, cam, and throttle position), manipulate those inputs (calculate rpm, change in O2, MAF, Throttle postion), and provide an output (Injector PWM). I will also need proportional, integral, and derivative control (PID). So, my question is: Do I program this thing in assembly, C, or C++? Can any of you recommend some books for learning any of these languages? My ultimate goal is to actually fuel inject my dirtbike, and then move on to multi cylinder engines. Thanks.
