First problem is the low brake fluid indicator is lit on my dash, checked both reservoirs and they are full, now can they be too full and make it light up, second problem is I replaceD the battery with an AGM battery, therefore the battery level light is on, I bought the 2.2k resistor and placed it inline along with the one that is already there, connected it to the acc. terminal on the fuse block............still lit........whats gives?

I spent yesterday cleaning the bike it had about an inch of dust and tree sap so I washed it and got out the rubbing compound with plastic polish for the windshield. I took inventory on what it needs, what I like about this bike is that it was produced for so long I can order the plastic parts for it. I still have a lot to do to it but it runs great. This thing will flat outrun my 86 VR and my other 86 I had and my 84VR I can't believe the power difference between an inline 4 and a v4.

I just install a inline fuel filter below the front seat. The hose is 5/16 and I cut the fuel line at a good access point under the seat and installed. Note, be sure to give yourself lots of fuel hose as it will easily slide under the fuel tank. I left the orginal filter in there as I only have 14,500 miles on my bike. If ever I am in that area working I will remove the orginal filter completely but because its kinda hard to get to I am leaving it for now. I am going to get some flack over that!! ha ha, but I can take it. I used Napa, Part#730-9561. I like this fuel filter because it comes complete in that you do not have to screw in the fuel connectors on the ends. The fuel connectors are part of the end piece that spins off when replacing the fuel filter inside, (filter replacement # 750-9566) applies. Oh, by the way, I used my carbtune also and it was great and easy to use. Now I just have to get brave enough to do the valves seats. Gulp!!! See photo attached. DanC:cool10:

I am installing a pair of Powerlets to my bike. The Powerlet comes with a very nice connector to go to the battery, along with an inline fuse. However, I have an auxiliary fuse box under my seat. To hook up the Powerlet, I'd have to cut off the nice professional ends, then add connectors to let it attach to the fuse box. I think I would also cut away the bulky inline fuse. What would you do? Go to the battery or go to the fuse box? Keep the inline fuse, or dump it? Dave http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4009/4618825544_4868782079_b.jpg

To my knowledge, there are not any V-6 bikes and I have always wondered why not. With inline 6's, boxer type (GW) 6's and V-4's and many inline 4's, I always wondered why the V-6 was not an option. I know there is a problem with uneven pulse seperation unless the crankshaft rod journels are stepped, but that is a common thing now in V-6 car engines to increase smoothness. RandyA

not bike related. on Friday, last, i went into town to run a errand. i looked down at my "amp gauge", and it was pegged out(20 to 22 amps). i stopped a "bato zone" and ordered a new alternator. it came in Sat. i installed it the same day. so far, it ain't charged a single amp. question is, does anyone know if Ford, installed an inline fusible link, or circuit breaker, or something, that would not allow the system to charge? it's in a 92 aerostar. any input would be appreciated. just jt

Was tracing out the overflow tube (Fuel Breather Tube) on my 06RSV from the gas tank to see which of the tubes under the bike corresponded to that tube. Anyways, I noticed under the seat the tube has what appears to be an inline filter before exiting out the bottom & venting to the ground. Is there really a filter inline? If so, why on an overflow tube? Just wondering...thanks!

My son wants to install a cig. lighter type electrical outlet on his Nomad to power his ipod or cellphone. He wants to wire it directly from the battery, and since it's a 12 volt outlet, he thinks he doesn't need to install an inline fuse. I think he should install a 10 amp inline fuse. Who's correct? I know there's many of you electrical geniuses out there and any info. would be much appreciated. Thanks.
