Has any one swapped out their OEM radio/cassette for a newer and up to date waterproof marine radio? I can imagine there would be no easy way to make it work with the headsets, but still, I think it would be very nice and the Jensen's are relatively inexpensive.

I have read as many posts as I can about replacement diaphragms for the 83 Venture Royale... but can't seem to be able to locate who might sell the diaphragms only, without the slide, for an inexpensive fix... Does anybody know anyone who currently sells these diaphragms and how I can get in touch with them? Thanks, Joel:12101:

I have a friend who rides a BMW 1200 , he is interested in buying something ( should be a Venture) that he can use or add to his BMW so we can communicate, Would be great it there was something he could use so we could talk on the CB other than him having to install a CB on his bike. any suggestions? or is there an inexpensive CB that would work somehow

I need a new hosting service for my family Website since AT&T dropped it's service in August. I have looked at a few but I am not thrilled by any so far. Can anyone recommend one that is reliable and inexpensive? I just need enough for family tree's, photos and if I want to make a special page for something.

Bike has 35,000 on it. Bike sputters from 3500-4000 rpm's but then seems to smooth out after that. 70mph that I drive on my commute is right in this range. Carbs have been soaked, synced, and the diaphrams patched by my mechanic. He mentioned that it might need the needles replaced(He said it is not a fun or inexpensive job), or maybe new diaphrams. Other than that bike runs great and gets 40-45 mpg. Before I proceed I thought I would ask you guys. Thanks Doug

The microphone socket on the drivers conector/cable from the tank to the radio isn't working. The other aspects of the cable work fine. That is I have sound from the radio I just can't communicate out. However, when I plug into the passenger plug the my microphone works. The driver's connector just doesn't work. I also found that one of sockets for a pin is loose. So I suspect that it is broken inside the plug. The cable is $50 from Yamaha, does anyone know of an inexpensive alternative to Yamaha?

Saw this on e-bay. Was wondering if anybody has tried it. I am wanting to add more light to the rear end and this looks like a inexpensive add on. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SPINNY-LED-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-Midnight-Silverado_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35580QQihZ013QQitemZ230242057354QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
