We are in Indy with Friends until Monday. We are supposed to do a Charity Ride in the Morning. If any of you are doing the ride, my wife and I are on a Blue & Black 07 Venture. Stop by & say Hi. Craigr

The Indy GP was this last weekend and they had bikes on Meridian down town on the circle I met up with Bob and Dano and a few others here and there. I counted 6 ventures out of probably 5 thousand HDs there. They want to make Indy a bike week like Daytona at some point from what I have heard but man it's a mad house! It was fun but they need someone who knows how to organize and put one on. I did see a few Indians running around and only 4 victories and one Vision and it was getting a lot of attention. Seen a little bit of everything

I'm taking a ride next Sunday the 19th from Indy over to Parkersburg WV via I-74 to Cincinnati then US 50 over and down to Parkersburg to deliver a trailer. Leaving Indy by 8 am, leaving Parkersburg for the return trip by 3. Anybody wanna join in the fun? Could be just part way or the whole trip, I don't mind. Maybe a quick M&E in Parkersburg? Let me know. Dano

Oh Big Family on the Internet, Was on the American Legion Legacy Run from Indianapolis when my bike decided not to start. The shop hasn't come up with a solution yet after telling me it is probably the ignition switch and some "other" electrical issues. They also told me they can't locate a switch in America and aren't able to order one. They looked at a switch from a 96 but claim it is totally different and the wires are not compatible. I asked them to install a way to bypass the switch but that didn't work either (lights won't come on, no starter) The bike is still in Indianapolis at the shop, the Legacy Run is completed (rode with a support vehicle) and I head back to Indy tomorrow. Anybody in the area with knowledge about where to get a switch and know how to correct such problems? Unfortunately I don't know how to work on a bike but am willing to learn. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I was just watching an interesting show on TV. They were talking about a "Bucket List". That is... what's on your list of things you'd really like to do before you "kick the bucket". Thought it would make for an interesting read here...to see what other's lists are. Here's some of mine that quickly come to mind... Spend at least a year touring Canada & the USA on a motorcycle, with a nice tent trailer in tow and my honey on the back seat. Take a ride in a jet fighter and maybe even get to fly it some. Drive an indy race car. Skydive Have a nicely equipped shop and build a custom car or a hot rod Move to the country and live in a log house on the edge of a nice lake with my own dock and a nice boat. (guess I'd better start buying more lotto tickets for some of these!)

Well, it finally got started and their forecasts are coming to fruition. Lots of heavy, wet snow and really bad conditions. Makes me thankful to be retired and able to choose to not go out. Central Indiana is getting it's share of weather out of this huge system. I can hear sirens right now here in the Castleton area of northeast Indy. Looks like we have 3 to 4 inches, strong easterly wind, and a lot more snow to come. It's just plain nasty. Now all you southerners can take your best shots.

I'm not a big fan of KOA's but must have decent showers and off the main road (road noise). Can you give me a FIRST HAND recommendation? I can and will start an internet search too but I KNOW nothing is better than FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE. Will be EAST of Indy near Route-9 Thank You Charlie & Mimi

Any one going to the Indy Mile? This will be a historic year. Kenny Roberts is going to be taking his TZ750 for a few hot laps between races. This is the Yamaha two stroke that he won the 1975 Indy mile on the last lap. I was there to watch this one. The AMA banned the two strokes after 3 races--Too dangerous. Even Kenny agreed. I just found out about it or it would have been part of my summer plans. Steve

Was wondering how many venture riders will be going to the race this year. I am leaving Friday May 22nd from the Houston area. I have season tickets and go almost every year, this year will be the first for riding the 05 RSV. If anyone is riding to the track, would like to join up for the ride. Will be staying with my sister in Indy on the northeast side.

A buddy of mine is heading to Indy this week and mentioned there was a nice MC store there. He couldn't recall the name. Apparently, it is like the Iron Pony (Columbus, OH), but not quite as big. Can anyone in the Indy area help with the name of this place. I know this request is rather generic and may not include enough info. However, I thought I would run it up the flagpole and see if anyone knows. Thanks. RR

I have heard from other people that they are trying to make this a Indy bike week and are going to have 4 blocks down town set up for only bikes and the parties and diffrent things going on all over but havent found any real info. I have my kids that weekend so they cone first but would like to go see the vendors and see what I can get for the bike and us.

I know there are a lot of racing fans on this site, so how many of you have attended the Indy 500. It's been a dream of mine for years, but something is always getting in the way. Is it as good to attend as I imagine or is it, as some have told me, better sitting in front of a widescreen in the comfort of your home. Thanks.
