Shipped my Road Glide seat off to Rick Butler this morning. I have put some miles on it and was pleasantly surprised with it for a stock seat. I've done a Saddle Sore and a Bun Burner on it so I know that I can do a thousand mile day on it with no major problems. There is still room for improvement though so I figured that with the snow on the ground, it was a great time to let him work his magic.

My shock shipped on time and arrived yesterday from Works. Followed the instructions on the other Venture site and in under an hour i was test riding it. Other them removing the right side saddle bag for visability, i didnt remove any other major part. A swivel socket and extension bar did the trick for the top bolt and the old crusty shock dropped out. New one fit right in there with mild persuassion. Easy job. (Another big thumbs up for my CarbonOne lift adapter) I measured the sag or whatever its called and it seemed to be pre set. Initial ride was great but after 2 months of no shock anything would have been an improvement. Im sure this thing will work out great. bTW, Hagon Shocks called me this week to tell me they finally got the heavy weight springs in stock. Too late for me but i was going with them based on reviews, one year longer warranty and a better price. Hagon might now be an option if your built like me (big boned )

I've been told that the best improvement that I could do for my '07 RSTD is to swap out my ignition. Wachya think? Any truth to this suggestion? If so, what would you recommend?

I recently had my stock Bridgestone rear tire changed to a Dunlop E3 due to wear (17k km) but left the stock Bridgestone on the front since it still has about 1/2 the tread left. In this configuration I'm finding a big improvement in slow speed handling. I know someone recently mentioned Avon front/Dunlop rear but even with Bridgestone front/Dunlop rear I'm feeling the improvement. If it gets better when I replace the front with a Dunlop E3 in about 10k km... great !

Just wanted to say, I took my seat to Rick Butler yesterday and he performed his mods to my new seat. Very satisfied with the quality of Rick's work. He has made this improvement to both my Venture pillow top & this GW seat. Almost ready for Cody....

Ready to order an Elite 3 front tire. Question is since the front of my bike is lowered 1", would I get an additional improvement in handling by putting the "MT90" on, or should I stay with the "150"?

I just saw an ICM on Ebay and was wondering if there is a difference in the ICM of these two bikes. The reason I ask is the Honda Valkyries the ICM is different between the Interstate and the Standard or Tourer. The Interstate has a little bit more spark advance in the mid range RPM which give a bit more power in that area. I put a Interstates ICM on my Tourer and it is quite a noticeable improvement. No more flat spot. Much more linear power-band. Just Curious. Still trying to learn everything I can about this bike. Tom

a coolant called "Engine Ice". This stuff is proclaimed to be a high tech coolant that can reduce operating temps by as much as 50 degrees F. Before I have a couple gallons of this stuff shipped to me, since I can find it anywhere locally, I thought I'd check around with other members and see if anyone has installed this stuff and if they've noticed any improvement.

I've tried the Pioneer speakers and now have the Polk speakers in the front but I'm still not happy with the sound. Now I'm thinking about trying to fit a pair of 4 x 6 speakers in the front. Assuming that I can make them work, how much improvement will they be over the stock 4" round speakers? Don
