Not sure if this came from this site, if it did, sorry for the re-post. If it didn't, you have to love this. Space Shuttle Discovery - 360VR Images

I paid a horrible amount of money for this edition of Cycle Magazine, and I am happy to share the interesting bits. I have uploaded the full size images of all the following pics, and they are clear and legible. Any problems and I have the original pages. Lots of it is interesting, but the gas consumption over the trip was 40.6 mpg. That is with a single rider, carrying 20lbs of gear. The gas in 1988 had no ethanol and we should, I think, expect around 1.5mpg poorer with E10. There may be other factors .... add comments So high 30s seems to be about right for one-up, fairly spirited riding. Anyone struggling to read these .... The original images are much bigger, and easy to read. Try downloading these from Photobucket, and if it's still a problem I can send copies of the originals. Enjoy. http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0646.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0647.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0650.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0653.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0656.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0659.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0665.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i418/twigg2324/1986%20Yamaha%20Venture%20Royale/Cycle%20Road%20Test/IMG_0668.jpg

Satellite Photos of Japan, Before and After the Quake and Tsunami Move the slider left and right to scroll the new and old images (little bar in middle of each pic) to compare satellite images, taken by GeoEye, from before and after the disaster. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/03/13/world/asia/satellite-photos-japan-before-and-after-tsunami.html?hp This link really shows the extent of the damage done.

Here is a program that I had posted about before the big crash and just wanted to put it here again. Although the site now has automatic image resizing for profile pics, avatars, and images posted in the threads, it is NOT a fool proof system. If your images are HUGE...there could be time out problems before the pic is resized. Also, auto resizing does not work in the vBPicGallery at this time. There are many programs out there for resizing images but if you use Windows XP...there are NONE easier than the one at the following link. Once you install this little program, all you have to do is open the folder where your pictures are saved, right click on the file name and choose "resize" from the context menu. A box will open up with options. The default option is 640 x 480 and that is the one you want to use. Just click "OK" and it will save your picture at the proper size and resolution to upload. It will NOT write over your original picture...it will save it as a new picture with the same file name except "small" at the end. This program will not create a new icon on your desktop or anywhere else...it will simply create a new link in the right click context menu. This is the ONLY thing I use now for resizing pictures. It is simple and very effective. So...just click on the following link. Scroll down until you see "Image Resizer" in the right menu, download and install. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/xp-downloads#2TC=powertoys

Just wanted to let everybody know that I have repaired the tech article that Squidley had done on installing the auxiliary line splitter on the RSV. It was an excellent article but the photos were linked to a now defunct photobucket account so none of the images were showing up. I have now uploaded all the images are corrected the article to point to their permanent location. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905 I actually got caught up a bit tonight and had a little time to practice my guitar for a while. I always take it with me when I travel but haven't had much time to play it lately. It sure felt good to pick for a bit.

Hello all and as promised, I have returned with more pics of the 'finished' product. I'm pretty darn happy with the way she turned out. The paint looks really good and the final mounts are working out well too. And most importantly...I'm still well under budget: Fairing (ebay) $300+$45 shipping Aluminum Angle-Iron $35 (had to buy 8ft) Misc nuts and bolts $10 Paint $125 + two 12"Subs - decided to go with one color to keep things simple. As before...so what do ya all think (and please be gentle) Sorry about all the picture, thought more was better in this case...And, the "full size" links are generally 1.5meg images. Hey guys. I told you about my Central Australia trip middle of 2008. I think most of you are also aware that I'm a keen (pro)photographer. Did I also mention that I do 3D Stereo photography? Anybody familiar with it or even tried it? Have a look at these. If you want to see the 3D, just look at the centre of the big picture and cross your eyes until the images merge, and "Whammo!" There you have it. Can't see it - keep trying. It's a bit like riding a bicycle. Once you've mastered it you will have it forever.

I appreciate you folks giving me a bit of breathing room to get things working again. Now I'm at that point where I need for you to let me know if I've missed anything. Classifieds should be working now. Thumbnails of images in posts are back. I'm probably missing something but if you see anything, please let me know. Don
