Please excuse the slight delay with the Easter egg hunt. It seems that Bo was suppose to just watch the eggs getting hidden... http://www.bergall.org/holidays/easter1.jpg But in the meantime, please take time to color your eggs and enjoy the day... http://www.bergall.org/holidays/easterbunny.jpg

So I thought I'd continue my search into automatic bikes... I've looked at the can-am spyders, ridleys, and the suzuki gs450ga from the 80's I can't really find alot of info on the automatics. Wanting something that is comfy on trips, could be triked and good for around town. It will be sometime before we could invest in it but hey if we know better what to hunt for makes it easier.

I took off the rest of this week to take a break and get some bow-hunting time in. Got me a young doe yesterday evening for the freezer. I will eat some of it, the rest will be given to friends. I will be hunting for a turkey or two this evening. Yet for now, here I sit on this computer. I better save this for later and get going. I would have liked to have gotten some riding in, a little anyway, but need tires (two bad spots to the threads, not safe at all),sigh, and will probably just wait until this winter to put them on. Well It is hard sometimes in life to decide the better of two loves. I love to ride, but I also love to bow-hunt. There are needs in my life for both. The thing is though, that both are at their peak at the same time during Fall of year. I do not care to gun hunt, I would rather deer/turkey hunt with my bow. If I wait to long into deer season, then all the other deer seasons will be in and out, early muzzle loader this weekend for two days. Then another muzzle loader season for 7-8 days. Then modern gun season for three weeks in November. So I like to hunt now before all this. I seem to have my best days afield now and until the second week of November. I look for a good buck, pass on a lot of small ones. So this takes time. But I love them both. So off I go to the woods for now. Man I would love to take a ride......... Fuzzy

The driver of a minivan that was rear-ended by a motorcycle in Victorville, Calif., got all the way home before he realized the dazed biker had landed in his back seat, the Victorville Daily News reports. Karen Hunt, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office, says officials call the incident "a non-injury collision with a twist." Hunt says officers initially feared the biker had gotten caught under the vehicle because callers who reported the accident didn't know where the rider was. Deputies say the driver had slowed to turn into his street when the crash occurred and proceeded for a half-block to his home. Calling out to his wife that he'd been rear-ended and needed to go back, he turned around to find the shocked biker in the back seat, the newspaper says. Hunt says the biker did not need any medical attention because the helmet sustained most of the impact. All he asked for was an icepack for one of his hands, the paper says.

The Great VR Scavenger Hunt, relegated to the "fun & Frivolous" section is not getting the action it did when correctly placed in this more active area. Anyway, want to remind everyone that it is still and has been going on, but it seems like mostly a few of us from Illinois have been getting the targets even in this bad weather, while the bunches of you in warm areas are doing....what? You NEED something to strive for, a challenge, a task that will take you and your bike to new and interesting places and meet new and fun people. So join in on the scavenger hunt and be the first one to get the new target: You and your bike at a beach. Can be snow covered, but if it is covered by babes in bikini's you get extra points. (or guys in speedo's for the female riders) Visit us in F&F and YOU could pick the next target, and win the accolades and respect of your fellow Venture Riders! Or just wait for us Illini riders to get it again and hog all the rewards (warm glow, applause from afar and the knowledge of a job well done, no cash, sorry)

Any body ever mounted a Venture engine on one of those engine stands?? I've used them for big V8's before so I know the stand will handle the weight. What I'm wondering is will the V4 mounting holes withstand the torque??? Just looking for info from someone who's been there... Thanks.. I'm also on the hunt for an engine hoist. I'm getting too old to be lifting heavy stuff any longer. I'm finding I need to call someone to help with the lifting more and more often....

Since the Scavenger Hunt is going great for the Bikers. Some of the Ladies are feeling left out. Cinderella had a great Idea. A Ladies Cage Scavenger Hunt. So I had my son Venturepirate decide on the Picture topic. So Here is the Start for the Cage (Car, truck, van, etc.) Scavenger Hunt. You, Your Cage, and a Waterfall. I will be sitting this one out. I have a Waterfall 1 mile from the house. Falls Mill is a natural waterfall that Little Kanawha River Flows over. Pics Below. The winner will pick out the new target and prize, which can be something little. Just remember that for the target you need to be able to get the cage within photo range with the target. I will send the winner of the waterfall picture choice of a Candle from http://www.bear-heaven.com/ where I work. Just PM me your shipping address. Pics are: Falls Mill, my virago 535 I used to own, and me Falls Mill from the overlook Winter 07
