I have a Droid X and am looking to use the GPS on it. Does anyone have it mounted? I have seen the cases and just want to make sure what I buy works. Secondally, does anyone use the Butler cup holders? I was wondering about clearance for the tank. TYIA

Any other CCW holders on here? I'm having a problem finding the right way to ride with heat. I carry a Glock model 30 or a MR Baby Eagle 9mm 90% of the time. Soemtimes I carry a Sig P220, but it's hard to carry a full sized handgun concealed. Anyway, the problem I'm having is that when I carry my weapon on the inside of my waistband, it's very awkward and jabs me in the side not to mention if my shirt gets to flapping in the breeze it shows in my wastebnd. When I carry in my shoulder rig it feels bulky, and since when I wear my rig I have to wear my jacket, it takes more time to draw if I need to. I thought about trying an ankle holster, but again the draw speed isn't there. Is there a happy medium here, or do I just need to suck it up?

A few members were asking about crash bar bottle holders (like HD make) and CMike even contacted Troy (a member) about it, only to find he had to have surgery! I have emailed Prozak and he is fine now, after having his gall bladder removed. He would be happy to make these holders for VR members BUT he doesn't have crash bars on his bike!! If someone here could send him a rear crash bar so that he could get measurements that would be a great help. His email is: troy@scustomleather.com He made a special tank bra for me, and has done work for other members too..............CAN ANYONE HELP OUT????????

How do you carry while riding?

Well I ordered a tank bib from "Talisman Leather products" in Canada. Good people to work with and the product is well made. $105. CDN / $92.95 U.S. for studded. Got it put on but had to remove both cable holders for it to fit proper. After that I just did not care for the cable being put back on the tank with the little rubber holders. I got with my sister and this is what we came up with. I could not have done it without her. She works with leather a little but this was her first attempt at something like this. I have the little rubber holder put on with two sided tape. What ya think? Have a great 4th of JULY.

I am terrible with names. I only remember 2 names for the OKC meetup. Lowell and Diana. I need to thank these 2 members for herding me to a bike dealer that carries watermelon holders that fit my head. Though they did not have the color I wanted, I was able to verify that it fit. I apologize for not remembering your names or forum handles. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/OK%20MnE%2004%2012%2008/P4124561.jpg

Went to the 25th anniversary Muleshoe Roadriders Run Saturday and found a vendor that makes passenger and rider cup holders for out bikes. His web site is www.tourkingcovers.com. He does not show them on his web site but he does have them. I got one for the passenger and took some pictures. The cool thing they are $22.00 each for those who are watching their nickles & dimes.

My black cherry 2006 Venture needed very little to make it complete. I did want cup holders, fore and aft, and a rider backrest, so I contacted Diamond R for both. The backrest went on without a hitch, as per directions. No drill and a perfect fit. The rest adds a lot of comfort to my ride. The cup holders also were made to fit my bike and look great. I have gotten a fair number of compliments on these holders, along with some, "Where'ja get them?" I am happy with Diamond R's products and service and do not hesitate to recommend them to all. The only thing that I would like to see on the Venture is a reverse gear, ala the "Wing". With the weight of the Venture, I really do have to be careful where I park, so that I do not have to back the heavy beast up any sort of grade to get out. Otherwise, I really do enjoy this bike. I have owned many bikes since 1959, to include seven Harleys. If I need to buy another bike, it will be a Venture.
