Has anyone in the last couple of years purchased a set of Markland Hiway Floorboards for an MKII on ebay? If so could you tell me what you paid for them. I need some reasonable price comparions for an insurance claim.

is it just me that thinks that 63.00 dollars is high for thesw gas tank grommet covers. I know business folks need to make a profit, but meeza-thinks this is hiway rubbery. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-ROYAL-STAR-VENTURE-BILLET-FUEL-TANK-MOUNT-COVERS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem414b105f45QQitemZ280432238405QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://i.ebayimg.com/19/!Bgdvd5QB2k~$(KGrHqEOKkUEryhRc-oWBLFZC63QGw~~_12.JPG

After a record setting spring for cool weather and rainfall we had a heavy rainfall last night and the rain has nowhere to go because we live on such a wide flat plain. The TransCanada hiway has been closed, forcing people to take a 200 km detour. They are actually evacuating a couple of smaller towns and their hospitals. I would recommend you avoid Southestern Alberta and SouthWestern Saskatchewan for the next couple of days. I will keep you posted when traffic will start flowing normally again. http://www.leaderpost.com/State+emergency+declared+Maple+Creek+after+reports+flood+waters+heading+towards+town/3171973/story.html http://www.cbc.ca/canada/saskatchewan/story/2010/06/18/sk-flooding-1006.html Brian

Just curious as to how those of you that installed hiway pegs, how have you mounted the brackets...to the front or to the back or in between...and how you have pegs pointing? Pictures would be of GREAT help and an explanation as to why you have them the way you have them mounted. This can be helpful for BOTH vertically challenged TALL and SHORT people. Thanks, Wally

I was brainstorming last summer (scary as that may be) and my buddy who owns a metal fab shop and I built these hiway peg/pad extenders I am 6'6" and these do the job well on my 1st gen and sit plenty high enough not to interfere in turns Not bad for hillbilly home made

today on my way home i was riding looking at all the sights on the hiway ( I-75) and i looked down at my foot for some reason and i noticed my lower wind vent was leaning backwards( not a good sign) so i tried to get over to the shoulder to fix it or remove it untill i got home and....... you guessed it off it comes at 70 mph on the hiway as i watched it in the mirror hit the ground and shatter and the metal part that bolts to the crash bar bounced all i could think was i hope this dont hit a car. well it didnt so i was lucky in that aspect... so if any one has the right side wind vent for a second gen and you want to part with it please let me know the bike still looks good from the left

Gary @ Annie: it's good to hear that everything is going great with the treatments, Was just curious if my old campsite is still open, if not one that is a bit further south, so that the hiway traffic muffles the camp noise, I will see you in a couple of weeks

Was down in Bacliff Tx. today and was leaving "Noah's Arc" restaurant when I saw an '05 Liquid Silver looking like it was gonna pull in. Went on and lo and behold, it passed me going north on 146 as I was sitting in the left turn lane for hiway 96. Anyone of us??? Don H.
