Freebird's Maintenance Day is closer than you think. Please take the time to signup on the Calendar if you plan to be here. I know that some of you may not have confirmed your schedules yet but please signup as soon as you know. It helps me to know how much food to order for Saturday. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=220&day=2011-6-4&c=1

Got a new to me 06 venture with 29K miles for 9K$...very pretty and have been enjoying riding around this week..the only glitch so far is that sometimes the audio controls freeze up and I can't do anything with it...turning the ignition off and back on sometimes helps, most of the time not...then, for no apparent reason, it works normally again....any ideas?...thanks to all, Mick....previous bike was a 91 wing....

After the past few weeks, I have really started to experience lower tail bone discomfort. A pain in the "behind"! Have had the Butler Modification done and been good comfort up until the now. Looking for driver saddle options? Also, I have been adjusting my Utopia Backrest to be a little more upright, to assist in posture for riding. Seems to helps some, but not totally after the 2 hours or so. As for size, I'm 6'1" and 33" in-seam and bike fits well for height. Did the Level Links as well and did not notice any significant change for "fit" Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well - the 2nd gen radio went out again. Seems to happen every year now. Getting kinda expensive to listen to the tunes and talk to the truckers. Will split it open, exercise the plugs, and grease up the connections to see if that helps. If not, back to Ebay. Anybody have this type of failure - this often?

In case any of you snow birds are tired of the cold, ice, and snow...(actually, it snowed here last week. A very rare event for us). It was 66 degrees of perfect weather out at Lake Moultrie today:sun1: South Carolina still has plenty of room for those who want to move down here, so you can ride year 'round. I was actually born in upstate NY way back in '58. A day like today helps remind me why my family moved from there to here in 1961. Come on down and ride a spell. I'll put out the coffee (or sweet iced tea) for ya. Rusty

keep your fingers, legs, eyeballs, and anything else you can bodily cross, crossed today. The saga of the Venture has continued. Still torn down at the dealer, but didn't want to keep crying and whining here about it...one thing after another with lost parts in the mail, etc,etc....anyway, ... tonight is suppose to be the big night, after 4 weeks, that we get our baby back. I appreciate all the moral support you have given me....it helps to have people understand. So, even if your co workers look strange at you walking around with your legs crossed, just tell them "No you don't need to use the restroom, your just helpin' out a friend! Thanks again!

While working on the bike I noticed a bolt missing. It is the lower of the two bolts that hold on the bracket for the rear brake light switch. It can be seen by either looking between the floor board and the frame, or by looking up from underneath. I have a picture of each, if that helps. Can someone tell me what size bolt goes in there? I tried looking in the shop manual, without much luck. Perhaps it is the same size bolt as the upper one.(?)
