You will notice that I added back the "similar threads" feature that we had before the site upgrade. Let me know if this is a feature that you like or don't like. I can easily remove it if most of you find it more obtrusive than helpful.

Anyone have any contacts about arm rest for the passenger? My wife loves to ride, but wants to be able to rest her arms more comfortably. Any links would be helpful. Thanks to everyone's help on the communitations system, backrest, luggage racks, and etc. I've asked for in the past. They have been very helpful. Thanks again, johnnyp

Finally coughed up the $12 in support of this site that has saved myself and my ridin buddies literally hundreds of dollars in tech support. I've met several members on my voyages and in person they are just as helpful, fun, and friendly. I hope to attend some of your events and contribute to the conversation online. Thanks!

I have some of the major components coming for a 2003 RSV. Frame, rear suspension, front end, handle bars & controls, foot controls, tank, fenders, seat etc. I am going to use these parts as basis for a hybrid 1st Gen/2nd Gen/VMax. Never having seen a disassembled RSV, it would be helpful if someone could get me as many pictures as available of an RSV in various stages of dis-assembly. This would greatly help on my winter (probably several) project. Gary

Could someone post a picture of their MKII Tank Rack. I'd like to see what it looks like to see if I might want one someday. Also any undesirable opinions of it would be helpful.

I know I saw something somewhere on here about trailering a RSV. Damned if I can find it though. After 3-1/2 months, my bike may finally be fixed after I got hit. Still can't ride due to my injuries, so she needs to be trailerd home. I haven't done this before, so I'm not quite sure if I need to do anything special to the bike. Any advice would be helpful. I am planning on using a U-HAUL motorcycle trailer if that helps with the comments. Thanks. Kevin

I purchased my 89VR (26500 miles now) a little over a year ago and the previous owner said the cruise control was made inoperable at the shop because he heard of a friend that got in an accident due to using the cruise control, so he said. I have no reason not to believe the reason. I would like to make it useable again. I share this thinking that one may proceed in a different manor than if it just malfunctioned. Your suggestions would be helpful if I could receive help from the simple to the more complex. On the road I press the cruise button on and it lights up green. Then I set the cruise and nothing. I have used the cruise on a 91VR, so I have some operation knowledge. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.

336 online & 88 of those members right now. You guys need to quit lurking out there and spend the buck a month it costs to come on here and be abused. Some of these fellows on here are sorta good at it. Plus a few of us can actually be helpful, sometimes. Not to mention, the boss wants to buy a can-am. Traitor. Gary

Hello, I have searched and read a number of threads and articles on horsepower and was wondering what opinions are on the easiest way to maybe gain a few HP that are easy and don't involve a lot of expense or time. Any ideas would be helpful. Air cleaner, mufflers, etc. Thank you in advance Chris in Red Deer

But yesterday after leaving the hospital and arriving at work I was confronted with some very bad news. A young truck mechanic I worked with went home early wed. Because he was feeling very ill. Thursday morning his young wife called in and informed our employer that doctors had to remove Nathan's left leg above the knee. The right arm and right leg were also effected, and a lot of tissue was removed, do to flesh eating disease. On top of that he almost died on the operating table. Nathan is one of those rare people who is always helpful and never has a bad thing to say about anyone. He has two very young preschool children and a wonderful wife. I truly would love to see the same shared prayers sent for this young man as was shown for my father and others in need of them.

VR Trunk Mirror Bolts
GolfVenture posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I removed the Trunk Mirror out of the trunk so I could fix the mirror hinges. In so doing the 4 mirror bolts dropped somewhere into the Back Rest. I was wonder if someone can point me to a thread as to how best to retrieve the Trunk Mirror Bolts. I searched for Trunk Mirror but found nothing very helpful. -
after much deliberation and looking at my bank account i ordered a new seat from ultimate seats. best move i 've made in a while. we ride a 1997 rstd and the stock seat choices were terrible. this is the most comfortable seat i've found anywhere, the phone at the company was answered by a real person who was very helpful and courtious, and the seat arrived in 5 days. everything about the perchase was a positive experience. i would recommend this seat and this company very highly. ride safe and be cool, thumper1:clap2:

Recently discovered this site. So helpful! I just a few days with the help of other members I was able to locate a rack as to mount a trunk on my 2005 RSTD. As well as a luggage rack for my OEM backrest. I obtained helpful info on back strain and the "Flanders" Handle bars. The windshield on my used bike was evidently a tall wide one 22 inches or more, I did not like it, so the dealer installed a much shorter one, now too short. Does anyone perhaps have a OEM windshield? or a custom windshield in the 16-17" range? Thanks....

Originally I just used the name of our Motorhome "KountryStar" for my user name, but later it didn't sound appropriate. So, yesterday, I changed it to "Nemo", which is kind of a backwards and upside down spelling of my real name, Owen. And now, many thanks to you other members for all of the helpful advice and recommendations which are posted on this forum. I keep a file of many of them for future reference. You're a swell group!

I am trying to order some leather pieces from Chilhowee leather during their 15% off sale. Problem is that the cost of shipping these small items to Canada is worth as much as the leather. It would be helpful to send to a USA site and then simply have it mailed to me. Anyone care to help out a Canadian member? Birin
